NICREW HyperReef 150 Gen 2 LED Reef Aquarium Light, 150W for LPS SPS Corals

Very impressed with these lights so far. The included stand was very well designed and should work with the majority of tanks. The build quality also looks to be high end. I have been researching and comparing many different brands and wanted to try this Nicrew as it was in sale and looked to have all the options I was looking for. You definitely need to buy the control module sold separately. Makes programming much easier. These lights can be very bright so make sure you are setting them up with care so not to burn your corals. My tank looks beautiful with these lights. And the price was so much better than the typical brands. Look is elegant, use is very easy, and performance seems to be pretty darn good so far. Wish there was an app but the module was so easy to use that an app was not necessary and probably why lights were so affordable.

I bought one then ended up buying two for my 90 gallon. Grow all my corals great. Very compact and powerful. Great is you upgrade with the controller. You won’t regret it at All!

Went from a Smat farm 90 to the Nicrew 150 and made a huge difference in my 24" deep water. I set them 9" above the water line and had wonderful mushroom and hammer growth and color. Very happy with this one.

I read a lot before purchasing this light. The output, the spectrum, cost, the functionality with the controller and form factor. This light checks all the boxes. Have only had it running a week but am very happy with it.

As many have said, the remote is a requirement. However, these lights are amazing for the cost. Will be putting these on all of my future aquariums.

I recently upgraded to the Nicrew Hyper Reef 150 for my 65R and I am simply amazed at the immediate growth and coloration for all of my corals. I am running the preset Proset1 setting and it is fabulous. Their customer service group was extremely helpful, and gave great advice in changes in my setup, water flow and lighting PAR requirements for my tank depth and coral selection. I would highly recommend this unit. Buy the controller as it’s well worth the small extra cost and very easy to use.

Purchased February 2025, stopped working July 2026. The power supply is fine the light is junk.

Really impressed with this light. Build quality is top notch. Huge upgrade from what I was running before. The mounting option is super solid and is super clean. Really makes the coral pop. This is a lot of light for the money.

Love these. I bought two 150s for my 80ish gallon reef tank. A bit of overkill in my opinion, but I reduced the intensity. Once I got these dialed in, with the separate controller, they work amazing. My LPS corals are growing quickly, and my SPS corals are starting to take off. My tank is 22 inches deep and its growing zoas, plate corals, and many types of soft corals on/around the sand bed. I would recommend these to everyone.

Would actually give it 4 1/2 stars it was extremely well packaged. The mounting hardware is well thought out and very functional for just about any tank. The quality of light seems good only negative I have is that you actually need the controller to get full capability out of this light but we knew this before purchasing and did purchase the remote, coverage is good and the par seems good so far but it’s a new light. Would I recommend it? Yes, would I purchase it again yes we have three mounted on a 6 foot tank and it gives full coverage with little overspill when daisychaining them together, you have to make sure you hear a click on the output side of the light to make sure you’ve got good contact. Instructions are good and the illustrations make it very easy to follow..
