Best Thing Since Elf on the Shelf
This book was a great hit & will be a family tradition every year from here on out. I am suprised this book is such a well kept secret. The premise of the book is there are elves at the Northpole that make pajamas for little boys and girls. These pj's are made with special thread that will help the children to be asleep when Santa comes. This book & "special" pajamas are delivered to childrens homes by the "elves". We wrapped new pj's in brown shipping paper & twine. I printed a label on the computer to match the "Urgent Delivery" on the book & addressed each package to each child. The book & packaged pj's where left on the door step on Christmas Eve (we had a neighbor put them there while we were at church, for the children to find when we returned). They have always gotten pj's on Christmas Eve & this just added to the delight with very little added cost. I hope by next Christmas this book gets as much attention as Elf on the Shelf.

Favorite new holiday tradition!
I photocopied the last page with the shipping label, packed the book/pajamas into a big box, and set this out on the doorstep when we left for Christmas Eve service. When we arrived home the kids found the package waiting marked with the same label they saw as they read the story. I did not have ONE argument about the kids going to bed on Christmas Eve for the first time ever! All the kids went right to sleep and on Christmas morning they woke up and all agreed that the magic helped them fall right to sleep so Santa could come. One side note, I did not think to take the inside tags off the pjs I purchased. My daughter was helping me with the laundry a few days later and mentioned "Why do the elves pajamas say MADE IN CHINA?" Cut those tags off LOL

Christmas Magic! (even with the terrible book art)
This is an adorable idea and an awesome bit of magic to add to Christmas. I love it! BUT I really wish the book was illustrated better. I know the little elves in the book are probably the author's children and it's sentimental for her, but I feel like this could become a Christmas classic with some great illustration. For my family the illustrations are just as important in a children's book and the story itself. I love the story and the tradition the book brings to Christmas, but I hate the look of the book.

Review
I would recommend this book to anyone with small children. I purchased a pair of pajamas for my 1 year old and her 2 cousins, ages 3 and 5. I put them in a box and wrapped them with brown paper and labeled each one "urgent delivery" from the Pajama Elves. On Christmas Eve as we were opening a couple presents I snuck out and put the gifts along with the book on the front step, rang the doorbell and ran. The looks on their faces when they saw gifts to them from the pajama elves was priceless. The 3 year old had the biggest smile on his face and just kept holding up his gift and telling everyone it was from the pajama elves.

Start a new tradition this year
Cute story line., an easy read, with rhyming words. The children will love to sit and listen as mom, dad, grandma or grandpa read this elf story of pajama making comes to life. Great idea to start a new tradition of giving this book with a new pair of pajamas at Christmas time for any child, boy or girl. Book can be saved and passed on to next generations, starting a new tradition of receiving a new pair of pajamas every Christmas Eve .Have each child's name written in the book, the date and who read it to them. Pass this on for future generations to see their parents and grandparents had this book too, when they were little.

I wanted to like this, so much so that I bought it ...
I wanted to like this, so much so that I bought it without realizing the entire story. My eight year old has typical night time fears (monsters, witches, etc) so reading her a book that says pajama elves will measure her at night while she sleeps seems terrifying. I will keep it and maybe read it to her when sheβs older. My eleven year old thought it was just ok and was excited about the idea of new pajamas, but not the concept of the pajama elves. The book arrived with a creased front cover from having been bent somewhere along the line.

Family Tradition
Family TraditionIt has been a family tradition of receiving new Pj,'s Xmas Eve for many many years. Now my children are grown and have their own families but the tradition continues. Last year we had company from out of the country and they were amazed at our tradition of EVERYONE receiving new PJ'S and were surprised when their new PJ's were given to them. It is also a tradition that you must go to whoever's home that is having Xmas breakfast in your new Xmas PJ's. Looking forward to my new PJ's again this year. I purchased the book this year to give to my children so they can read the story to my grandchildren.

Did not live up to my expectations
Hmmm... Maybe I'm just not getting this. I so wanted to and was so excited to receive it, but to me the book is thin, naff and cheap. The pictures are not artistic but bizarre photos. It isn't illustrated in the beautiful way I had imagined. I don't think we'll start any pyjama traditions with this as my 4 year old would be less than convinced. To be honest the text wasn't great either... There were some generous 'rhymes' in places. In my view the author must be laughing all the way to the bank!

Lovely book
I came across this by accident, but it ties in nicely with o e of our traditions that the kids are left new pyjamas from Santa to wear on Xmas eve! My oldest will be 8 and my youngest, 2, this year, so this is a lovely way of adding a little story to the tradition and keeping the magic alive for the older one!

Ok
It's has bizarre photoshopped pictures in it, would probably be better with illustrations and it wasn't quite what I was expecting but it's a good idea and is a nice short story/tradition to read/do with your kidsWould recommend getting the Kindle version though.
