Praktica Z150 Camcorder - Black

Wanted a cheap Machine. With a Microphone input. I did not expect much. But I was surprised by it. I went online and Purchased a charger with 4 batteries. So that's my setup. As I am in my sixties I remember Praktica cameras. If you do not want all the bells and whistles, this should do fine.

This camera worked fairly well for the first three months, the sound recording volume then became a whisper. Only thing audible was the focusing drive motor. Sent it back to Praktica for assessment... They returned it after 6 weeks saying they had serviced it and it was fixed. It was exactly the same and not repaired. Very unhappy with this outcome. I now have a useless camcorder, unless I want to make silent movies!

The flaw was no head phone socket, the rest I love

Very nice camera for a reasonable price. I wanted a camcorder that I could attach an external microphone to, this fits the bill perfectly. Good picture, easy to use, very please with it.

I don't normally leave reviews but after purchasing a few of these for work (they have been returned) I felt compelled to help people out.The picture quality is inferior to your standard mobile phone camera. No image stabilisation, so the shots are grainy and jerky when using handheld. This could be overcome with a tripod.The worse thing is the sound recording, it is generally very poor, but it also picks up the sound of the camera lens clicking away whilst it focuses or zooms. You need to buy a separate microphone for this camera.If you have a modern mobile phone, then you do not need this camera, your phone will do a better job.

Fits in hand nicely. Good quality video. Bought an additional battery as well to allow longer recording time
