Easy to use, strong consistant light
This is a 40 watt (consumption) LED light panel that has stepless 0-100% dimming and variable color temperature. It included a 110-240volt to 20 volt DC power adapter, or you can power it via a USB-C PD cable (must be able to supply 45 watts for full illumination) or dual NP-Fxxx batteries. [A larger USB-C PD powerbank is also able to power the light remotely, as long as it meets the voltage and current demands.]While it can run off of Sony Style NP-Fxxx batteries (I suggest the larger 970 ones for longer runtime) it does NOT act as a battery charger. The DC 20 volt and USB-C PD ports are only providing power to run the light. There is a push button and dial on the rear of the light that let you easily control the color temperature and brightness, and It also works with the GODOX phone app for wireless control. I felt that the app was overly complicated for someone with a single light [you have to create a project, then add the light to the project] as the rear panel control is much easier to use, but if you have multiple GODOX lights in a studio I could see being able to pre-program and recall scenes for a group of lights to be very useful. It has a proprietary back plate that the included lighting stand handle clips into and can clamp to the top of a vertical lighting stand. The handle offers tilt control, but has a small amount of play so the light isn't perfectly rigid even if your light stand is.My overall feelings on this light are favorable, as it was easy to use, offers several options for powering it, puts out ~ 40 watts of light from a edge lit panel and was relatively lightweight for the size the capacity. The only improvements I'd make would be to have it also act as an NP-F battery charger when plugged in.

Nice Bang For The Bucks
Nice step up from the usual cheaper LED panel lights.Plenty of power and the diffuser works very well, no harsh light. It has NFC, so it can talk to your cellphone (to use the included downloadable app). Personally, i prefer to have a remote in my hand or pocket. I wish they included one, but apps are the thing now. It works seamlessly though. No dings off for that...most folks would consider this a step forward. It's a versatile piece of kit. You can use this in a studio setup naturally, but with the batteries (not included), this light is just as easily utilized in the field. While it is not exactly small by dimensions, it will easily slide into my backpack pocket for a laptop. It puts out quite a bit of light and I believe they are being accurate with the wattage.Versatile light that can illuminate a wide field with steady and balanced dial in light.Dang good for under 100 dollars. I would perhaps wish for some panel wings on the sides to guide some of the light...but it would definitely cost more up front. As it is now for the price...well worth it.Recommended!
