Cocktail Kingdom2" Square Ice Cube Tray - Food Grade Rubber

This is a fantastic ice cube tray! It looks great in short wider glasses(rocks glass). Because the ice is larger, it seams to melt alot slower than the smaller ice. When it comes time to fill it, put the tray in the freezer empty first. Then use a cup to fill it with water, so you dont spill.

First, let me mention that this is what I received from Amazon when my wife ordered the Tovolo tray for me, so there is a similar review under the Tovolo tray, but it is actually this Cocktail Kingdom tray that I have. (There are small letters imprinted in the rim of the tray.)My wife bought one of these for me just before Christmas because I own a 52-ounce Bubba Keg (okay, two) and she wanted to be sure I had some long-lasting ice for it. So, it arrived and I was excited to have ice all day, which is the one positive thing I can say about it. The big cubes do last, and there is no odor or foul taste, as some Tovolo tray users have reported.However, there are some problems with it. First off, the tray is a bit flimsy, and is practically impossible to get from the faucet to the freezer when full of water to make the cubes (unless you don't mind spilling about a third of it). So it became clear fairly quickly that I wouldn't be able to use it at home, since I have a small freezer where the only place to put it is in the small, raised tray in the corner. But then I had a flash of inspiration!I decided to take it to work, where I have a larger office fridge with a top door freezer. The freezer is practically empty, and I can put the empty tray on the freezer floor, then fill it from a separate water bottle as it sits flat. Brilliant, I thought! However, my joy has now been dashed. After about two weeks of this, one of the cube sections has a hole in the bottom, so instead of 6 jumbo cubes, I can only produce 5. Of course, that also means it's a matter of time (and not much time at that) before the number of cubes that leak out the water grows and the tray becomes completely useless.I understand the fact that pouring the warmer water (slightly chilled, but not to 32 degrees) in the tray probably caused it to stick to the freezer floor, and that lifting (prying) it off eventually caused the hole to form, but if the tray was a little more sturdy when empty, I wouldn't have resorted to this tray-filling method in the first place. If I'm now going to have to put down a layer of something (plastic wrap, paper, etc.) to keep the tray from sticking to the freezer, then is it really worth the trouble? I'm voting "NO" on that.

I got one of these for Christmas and I must say I really love them. I enjoy a nice bourbon now and again, and these do the trick. After reviewing some other products, there is no funky smell or taste left in the drink.They are also huge, I would bet one of these if it were to melt would be ~4.5 normal cubes.Only reason these are not 5* is theey are a bilt difficult to remove from the tray (soft rubber)
