However, the con is in the durability of the internal components – after extensive use, the lever tends to become slightly loose, requiring occasional tightening. Our home is particularly hard on door handles. We use this one for the exterior (separate deadbolt so this one is appropriate). So glad that these are available and match perfectly with the ones installed on our house 8 years ago.

We recently decided to replace all of the interior knobs in our house with levers and decided to go with Schlage so as to stay consistent with the exterior handlesets. Schlage is a bit more expensive, but they are very high quality and sturdy, so I'm not too concerned about need to replace them any time soon. These are great looking and really updated the look of our house.

I received what I believe to be a returned item. Typically I don’t care, as I’d rather take something with a scratch or whatever to save the landfills, but with this I couldn’t help but be upset.I’ll start by saying this is the latest in a long line of door handle changing I’ve done in the past six months. I am extremely proficient at installing door handles. When I tell you. This freakin’ handle. Took me an HOUR to install. You best believe that is like 55 minutes longer than it should have taken.The box I received had no padding, no protective bags, no cardboard dividers, nothing. Just a box with all the parts rollin’ around together. I’ve ordered this exact same handle many times from a handful of other retailers and none of them looked like this mess. As I mentioned, normally it would be fine. But this matte black handle came with the most god awful scratches all over it from the screws and the parts all runnin’ up against each other like it was an….ogre (purposefully misspelled to protect young eyes).Beyond the aesthetic of the piece, it was missing parts and the parts it did have were bent in such a way that it doesn’t lay completely flat. I was able to retro fit some bits from the previous handle to save the hassle of having to return it, but it only functions at 80%, because the strike plate only mostly lines up with the handle.This handle is on a door that is rarely used, so I’m bothered by it but not hindered on a daily basis. My advice to you, the consumer, is if you want this handle, you best make sure your package is unopened. Or at least don’t waste your time installing it if you’re missing pieces.I’ll add down here that this is mainly a review on the storefront. We have these handles (Schlage Latitude Century) on almost all our doors and they look great and operate well. My review on the features will be based on the item I expected, not the crap I received. Can’t take my anger out on a good product.

This lever door handle was very easy to install, is made of all-metal parts and feels firm and solid to use. The oiled bronze finish appears more black than bronze. This handle replaces one that was shorter and rounder, which felt better in my hand. This one looks more sleek and modern.

Have this series of door handles in the house, they are all of the highest quality and look great.

The brand is exceptional as is this handle. It’s sturdy and attractive at the same time.

I have been a weiser buyer in the past. Schlage product have been my go to for work. They are strerdy and easy to install. Love this brand and is my go to choice.

Dummy door levers arrived quickly and well packaged. Super easy to install. A very nice upgrade from the original builder levers. Well done Schlage.
