Does the job but is much smaller than I expected

Bought this for litter of puppies. They LOVE it. Wish it was double or even triple the size. I thought it might not be stimulating enough as seems a pretty basic concept but they really can't seem to see the treats in there, and have to really sniff them out. Great for 2 minutes of fun, doesn't last long due to size. The pup we kept from litter loves to wee on this though, even though he's relatively house trained! Think it reminds him on grass. So take away as soon as done playing with if you have a puppy. This has been through the wash countless times over the course of a few months, and is still in tip top condition. Would recommend

The rows of material are too far apart and do not hold the biscuits very well. The mat rucks up straight away and they all fall out without any effort.

When this mat arrived, I felt rather cheated by its size. It is rather small given its price. However, having used it, I do not think a dog needs to perhaps snuffle a mat any bigger. The size also means it fits well within the cupboard when not in use as it isn't bulky.In appearance, I like its shade of grey and it appears to be well-made and of a good/reassuring quality.I have been using it for a week now with my pup under supervision. She chews it following a snuffle and flings it around the room and so far it seems to be standing up to this without any damage. How long this will be the case, I cannot advise yet.I have not needed to wash it yet and so can also not comment on how it washes and dries as yet. However, I think comparing to other 'felt' snuffle mats online this one is better made and more robust. I also do not think felt would wash too well either?

I wasn’t really sure what my dog would think of this mat. He likes kongs and usually likes something wet in his food but I tried this due to him being incapacitated after an injury to stave of a bit of boredom. His kibble is quite large so I had to work it into the mat but it did make him have to work to find all the food. He was interested in it as soon as it came out of the box funnily enough! I won’t use it every day as he will be crated for some time due to the injury but I shall bring it out every few days to mix things up for him. I should imagine a greedy dog that bolts it’s food would find this a nice alternative to a slow feeder bowl as it’s a bit more interactive than a bit of plastic! I chose this mat because unlike most of the others it didn’t have a plastic base. I have slate floors and I felt they would slip around. This has a fabric base that has tiny non slip rubber dots. I haven’t washed it yet and have only used it once so I can’t comment on it’s longevity but I’m hopeful it will last as long as we need it for.

He was wolfing his food down in 10 seconds flat which at some point would have given him problems. Vet recommended an easting mat and found this one on Amazon and liked the sound of it. When it arrived it looked great quality, looked nice and not too big. But l didn't think it would work, would puppy get into all the crevices and how could we stop him destroying it. Well, we gave him his first snuffle mat feed and was totally amazed, he loved it and didn't even try and destroy it after the food was gone. He really enjoys it, is much safer due to lower eating rate and gives us time to make a cup of tea and round of toast whilst he is occupied. Haven't tried washing it and drying it yet, but so far this is five stars. Highly recommended.
