Avionics: Fundamentals of Aircraft Electronics Perfect Paperback – August 19, 2013

Got this book a week ago, so far it’s been a great book. Coming from military aviation background as an airframe guy trying to learn AVI so far this book has been very informative, easy to understand and topics are well explained. I highly recommend this book if you’re trying to understand avionics.

...and very basic, hence the reason I give it 4 stars. There usually are no problems in the back of the book, sothis kind of book nearly requires the student to purchase a very slim study guide. I am not sure if the combinationis really worth $75. If anyone has used this book to study (and pass) the NCAAT certification, please post your experience.I think unfortunately it will take another book in order to pass the cert test, this one will not meet the material coverage by itself. Other a very good source for learning basic electronics as they apply to aviation and avionics.

Book delivered in outstanding condition.

The title is a bit unusual as I found this book to be ore of a "Basic Introduction to Electronics" with a few passing references to how they are incorporated into aircraft systems. This would be a great book for the absolute electronics beginner looking to get into the field but with 30+ years of electronics experience, I was a bit disappointed to see how basic it is. On the plus side, it is well illustrated and very easy to read.

very good book for explanations of how electronics are designed (if you need that) and how they work. basic electricity up to digital circuits J/k flip flops ect. good stuff and easy to understand.
