Excellent all around - a solid aquatic performer - plus it looks great and is comfortable!
Overall: Recommended! Great product for swimming many pool laps if that is what you are doing. i used it mainly for the pool though the style seems like it could be fine anywhere. Nice fit. Cheers

A lot of seams...
A lot of seams...With all those color inserts, a lot of work went into this swim brief.I was fortunate to order two different arena suits on the same day, both size 36.What I noticed in trying them on is that this, with all of its color block inserts and extra seams, fits more snugly than a typical suit, which is just one piece, front and back.Chlorine resistant suits, like this, have that "less stretchy" kind of fabric, which is pretty normal for chlorine resist suits. The look: this is a good looking suit with great colors. The red color is closer to a cranberry or burgundy, than a typical, traditional red.Overall, the suit I received is a well-made suit, with the exception of some errant black thread stitching on the front blue strip. What I don't love...skimpy lining. No lining in the back, minimal, NOT full front, in the front.I ordered the size 36 for my 5'9" 158 +/- pound body.Since my lap swim workouts are just for me, not competitive, I like my suits a little looser. This is not tight, not loose, and maybe just a little less than relaxed, in feel of fit.It fits tighter than the other size 36 Arena suit that came the same day, which is of a different cut/design.I measured this just laid flat, smoothed out, NOT stretched, front facing me:Waist, side to side is 15" (so double that).Waist BAND is about 3/4" wide.Leg openings are 9 1/2" (so double that). There is a black drawstring inside the suit which is flat and resembles a typical shoelace.I've given a 4 star rating based on initial impressions and *perceived* quality, not on long term use.If a full front lining is important to you or that little thread problem I mentioned (which is likely a fluke specific to the suit I received), consider this a 3 star rating.I hope this review has been helpful and enables you to make an informed purchase decision.I rarely give an overall 5 star rating.

Great swim briefs for competitive swimming
I got these for my husband, who is not a competitive swimmer. I thought he might want to try a more comfortable swim brief instead of the usual loose swim shorts. He tried them on, liked the feel of them and the double panel in the front actually does a great job of hiding the private parts.Unfortunately, it was still a firm no for him, he said he felt too naked and exposed. So, don't get this for the average American male unless he is a competitive swimmer. Experience for Europeans may differ. In the end, they are great quality and actually looked so good, but modesty won over style for him.

Surprisingly comfortable
These fit better/more comfortable than expected (maybe a little on the small side, but I know they're meant to be a bit tight). They hold everything in they need to and stretch a good amount. Seem to be well made and easy to clean. No complaints.

Great for teen swimmer
This swim brief is used by our teenage son. They fit him perfectly and are well made. They are sleek and don’t weight him down at all. Overall, we would recommend this training suit.

Very undersized
This is a common unlined racer style swim suit intended for men. It is virtually identical to the way they have been made for many years, I see no justification for the price tag that’s about double what I can get this for locally. I wouldn’t mind that so much but the unfortunate fact is that is very undersized. I could usually wear a medium but because these are not cut with a pouch like my similar styled underwear the flat front dictated that I go a size up. Guess what, I inadvertently ordered extra large. When I found out I thought I would be falling out all over the place but when I tried them on I couldn’t squeeze myself into them with a shoehorn, they almost stopped my circulation. They were impossible to wear. I can’t say much about the fabric or anything else because of that.YES NO MAYBEThis would be a no

Stylish Design and Colors; Fits Well
It's important to check the size chart before ordering, as the size numbers do not correspond to traditional men's sizes. While I usually wear a medium in men's bottoms, the size chart recommended a 36, so that's what was ordered. Fit is very good and appropriately tight for a competition suit, with the right amount of both stretch and support. Material feels substantial without being too thick, and it dries fairly quickly. Cut is similar to basic swim briefs, with a retro flair. The design is eye-catching, with a unique, fun, bold pattern. The navy/blue cosmo/white/red fandango color scheme is bright and vivid; it really stands out. Excellent swim brief for training, exercising and even lounging by the pool. Overall very pleased. Pricing is fair. Recommended.
