Agrosun Red Sodium Grow Light Bulb, 1000W

Doesn't seem as bright as it really is and our plants bloomed really nicely! Be careful you don't get sunburned by it!Update on bulb as of 8-20-13: It died after only 254 twelve hour days of service.

What's to say ?Agrosun Red is the "state of the art" in my opinion for any grow where enhanced flowering is desirable. There are other bulbs with similar "red" spectrums but this product is tried and true for me, and I NEVER replace something that works well ! Always lasted well beyond spec as well...

growing side by side with a Hortilux Eye 600 watt and the buds under this one are definitely bigger and the plant is fuller. I hae one plant under each, both the same strain from the same clone. Go figure

Both bulbs were used beyond belief. One the filament rattled against the glass and the other had a loose piece of glass inside of it. It was supposed top be new. It clearly wasn't.

The box says 'Rated Life 24,000'. It doesn't say what the 24,000 is, but I assume it's hours. At 12 hours per day, that would equate to 5.47 years.I have the same lamp which was replaced in 4/2018. Upon receipt of the new lamp, I measured the intensity of the 1 year old lamp before I removed it. I then let the new lamp warm up before measuring it.After one year there was a 20% reduction in intensity.While this is not atypical for HPS lamps, they should be replaced yearly for the best results.That equates to 4380 hours of what I consider acceptable life.I would rate it at 4.5 if that option was available

These bulbs used to be great when they were made in belgium. These new Chinese versions are rattly dim pieces of garbage that do not compare to the old belgian design. BUYER BEWARE!!

I like this lamp, right up there with hydrolux and ushio inmho. making some very choice flowers as we speak, even in colder than ideal temps.
