Review: Great book, makes German grammar clearer - Great book to learn German. my hubby used it in Addition to A1 Goethe Institut Course, makes German Grammar easier to understand. Review: Not worth the money - This book covers the basic vocabulary and grammar for A1/A2; however, it gives you sentences with vocabulary and verb conjugations that were not covered previously in the book. Sure, you can go online and look up words you need to complete their exercises, but at that point, why have this book? You are better off just searching online for vocab lists and example sentences at the A1/A2 level. For example, in chapter 1, it talks about numbers, days of the week, "haber", and "sein." Then at the end of the chapter, it asks you translate: "The event will start at 10 a.m. on Thursday." "Event" is not taught, "to start" is not taught, and giving time is not taught. Another sentence it tells you to translate: "My mother's birthday is on the 10th of November." The possessive form is not taught, the number 10 is taught, but not the 10th, and the months are not taught, etc.

Quite a lot of typos
This book is beginner-friendly and makes learning easy & fun. However the book has quite a lot of typos. The author forgot to press enter for the next line, a sentence is not finished, and some are honest typos with wrong spellings, etc. Yes theyโre small details, but these things are important for someone freshly learning a new languageโฆ If it wasnโt for these mistakes, I definitely wouldโve given 4 or 5 stars. Itโs a good learning book but I guess there wasnโt an editor? Was this not an official publication?
