It’s okay for what I needed
I am using this for making custom calligraphy inks. I use it as the thickener. It’s okay and the price was good. It doesn’t blend well. For me it was hard to get it to dissolve and blend. It kept getting gummy and wadding up. Guess I’ll finish with this and find something better.

Works to make shimmer sprays that don’t smear or rub off
Use this as a binder to mix water based shimmer sprays colored with mica powders. If you want to do same and this is your first time check You Tube for videos on how to make. If the videos you watch don’t go into using gum Arabic in powder form rather than liquid (powder cheaper and works just as well for my purposes) be aware that you’ll need to heat your water in a microwave safe measuring cup until very warm (not boiling) so the gum Arabic will dissolve when you mix it into your water.

Dries white if overapplied
This product is great for tobacco rolling; however, if you overapply, it will leave little white specs on your leaves once dried. I almost mistook it to be mold until I realised it was the gum product.

Cigar glue
As another reviewer stated - perfect for cigar glue. All i did was put a tiny bit of water in a bowl, sprinkled a little bit of powder in, and mixed it with my finger. Took the bowl outside to my burning (unraveling) cigar, and used my finger to spread the needed amount of glue under the wrapper. It works better and is MUCH cheaper than glue that is specifically created for cigars. This will provide a lifetime supply of highly effective cigar glue.

Good for watercolors too
This product is marketed for culinary purposes, but I used it as a base for my watercolors and it worked better than expected. There are no directions on the bottle for my purposes, but its pretty easy to get the consistency if you add it slowly to warm water. Some Gum Arabic I have used for water color leave a slightly yellow tint behind when it dries, but I haven't had any issues with this product

questionable safety seal
I actually have not used any of it. And if I do it will be for something other than a food additive. The reason is that when I opened the bottle the safety seal was half open. This spooked me.I will say that the outer cap was hard to unscrew. This might have caused the seal to lift upas I took the cap off. Call it paranoia if you want, but I will not ingest this. There are plenty ofother uses for it so no big deal.

Great for saving dried up watercolor paints!
I used this to resurrect dried out Daniel Smith watercolor tubes, and it worked BEAUTIFULLY! I only had to use a small amount of the powder and it went a LONG way. So glad I bought this instead of the overpriced liquid version found at art stores.
