Enjoyable but very unpolished
It's definitely a telltale game built around a Star Trek story.First let's get the negatives out of the way.Graphically this game is a bit of a mess. The character models all come off as what I can only describe as "shiny", like objects don't actually look like the materials they are supposed to be made of. Hair in particular looks reflective. The control scheme is a bit unhelpful at times. While the game is a point and click adventure, the "puzzles" are mostly variations of just clicking everything on a computer panel until the plot moves forward. The only recurring puzzle that I remember is using the transporter, where you have to get the beam around certain objects and then click the button at the highest beam strength. Nothing too difficult.Phaser fights are just carnage, they remind me of the old Time Crisis light shooter games where you duck out of cover to pop the baddies on screen. With the same level of chaos where you get hit by things frustratingly out of your controls.Flying shuttlecraft is a mess, while you can fly in any direction the game is not what you'd call "open world" so it's basically just go to the objective marker while the game throws loops of lightning at you.Ok, now the good side. While the story always moves forward following the same plot here are numerous big decisions to make which will lock you out of certain outcomes, and the game definitely reminds you about them later by incorporating them into your story. The PS4 version gives you trophies at these split points, so you can see what you could have done by looking in the menu. These sections have a lot of narrative weight to them, and can be emotionally wrenching at times when you have to choose who lives and who dies, or whether to uphold the ideals of starfleet when an easier option presents itself. The game is about forty odd chapters long, some of which might take a few minutes to complete and others might take as much as an hour. There is plenty of meat here, but is also short enough to warrant a replay. It definitely FEELS like a star trek story, I like how they fleshed out some minor races and off hand mentions from the TNG series. It gives you a really good balance of the slice of life in the federation, showcasing lots of interesting things you'd expect from a star trek TV show while also introducing an interesting plot. They do a good job of giving just enough fan service to make any Trekkie feel right at home without it being gratuitous.

Great story
This game has a great story where you choose the outcome via in game decisions. Does have a little Lag on standard PS4, but didn’t stop me completing it in 2 days

Another crap game. Get Grand Theft Auto if you haven't already got it!
