LOVE these strings
I have a few ukuleles and like to experiment with different strings and configurations. I'm a songwriter and lately have been composing basic melody and chords on a ukulele before transposing to piano. I've been going through strings fairly quickly since, a few months ago, I had been playing around 35 hours a week. I mostly play tenor and baritone. Generally, I like deep, dark, rich, sustaining sounds, but sometimes prefer harp-like sounds, mostly on my re-entrant tuned ukes. Some fluorocarbon and titanium strings can be too bright for me--especially the A string and can have a higher tension than I prefer. I even have one of my baritones string gcea but a full octave lower and love the sound. .I am using these GHS strings on an Islander super tenor but instead of using the supplied nylon G string from this pack, I am using a wound low g from an Ernie Ball set and I am happy. I LOVE the depth, richness, mellowness, and sustain of this configuration with a wound G and a wound C. I also love the look of black strings. I came back to order more since the price is so great and I don't want to be without. I've tried many strings on my various ukuleles.Strings can sound different on different instruments. My current instruments and their current strings are my fave Kala ziricote baritone (strung Aquila supernylgut dgbe), Kala KA-BG baritone (strung Guadalupe custom full octave lower gcea), my fave Islander super tenor (strung with these GHS strings and a wound low g from Ernie Ball), a solid mahogany Enya tenor (strings 1-3 with Ernie ball nylon and a 4th string high G titanium) and Enya Nova pro tenor (strings 2-4 Aquila lava low g with a titanium A/1st string since the Lava A string breaks).Since string feel and sound is so personal and subjective here are my opinions on different strings I've tried. If you have any experience with any of these strings, maybe this list will help determine if we have similar string feel/sound preferences. I tend to like deeper/richer sounding strings and also the feel of nylon/lower tension strings so "good feel" = low-medium tension and easy playability hours on end.Aquila Sugar: cool idea (biomaterial), good sound, good feel but extra squeaky g string and the only strings I've ever had that came with a sticker that said "squeak-less" lolAquila Lava: a bit bright on a baritone tuned gcea, good sound on a tenor though the tenor strings break easily--A/1st string broke while in case--only strings I've had break in a caseAquila Supernylgut: sound fine, play fine, my fall back stringsD'Addario titanium: bright, clean, cool, harp-like, chime-y-- sounds good and super clean recorded and sounds almost 8 bit on Enya Nova pro--sometimes a bit too bright, not great sustain, and don't love the higher tension but still use them occasionally (esp. when nylon break)Perry's low octave gcea for baritone: sound cool but buzz a lotGuadalupe low octave gcea for baritone: 4 wound strings, deep, rich, easy, and fun to play (LOVE!!)Ernie Ball low g: good feel/sound fineD'addario nylon: feel fine/sound fineD'addario carbon: fineGHS: great sound, great feel--LOVE! esp with the Ernie Ball 4th wound string instead of the nylonMartin flurocarbon: just arrived--excited to experimentThese GHS and Guadalupe baritone low octave gcea are my current faves. I'm going to switch one of my mismatched sets with another pack of GHS and try the newly arrived Martin fluorocarbons on my other.Happy playing!!

Good quality
The G, E, and A string are nice, the metal-wound C string is even nicer! Good value, and made in America!

a cool buy
I notice - It's says with tie ends but mine has none, also strings are place in a paper envelope instead of plastic packing as shown in the picture - the sound is great except for the E string a little bit dull in my instrument.Overall it's a cool buy - it has a crisp & bright sound in my uke - except the e string.. planning to switch - make an experiment with other brand.

Working well
Using these on a Lanakai Usb Tenor. Did not use the high G string since I have a low G setup. Really liking the sound of the aluminum C and the black nylon E and A strings. Particularly good when amplified. Using a guitar string for the low G. Too early to tell how the aluminum wound string will wear but I am hopeful after a month or so. Got these as an Amazon add-on.

Avoid these, they make premium ukes sound horrible.
After playing uke for 25yrs using only GHS strings, I finally got a premium Kanile'a ukulele and put these same ones on. The uke didn't sound great and I was puzzled why. I began to doubt my trusty GHS strings and look at other brands made from clear nylon. I put them on today and wow, my Kanile'a sounded like a Kanile'a should sound.I've been short-changing myself, my previous ukes, and any gig I've ever played all these years with my "trusty" GHS strings. Never going back to them again.

10 Set?
I only got a bag with 4 strings so I am not sure what 10 set meant in the product description. I thought it would mean 10 sets of 4. Otherwise, good strings, good sound.

¡EXCELENTE!
Son mi primer paquete de cuerdad GHS, aunque había escuchado que son de calidad la verdad me sorprendieron demasiado. Son las mejores cuerdas que le he comprado a mi ukelele.Sin duda compraré más en el futuro.

Wound C string
Bought for the wound C. Fell in love with GHS strings since. Using up the remaining Aquila and D'addario I have and staying GHS. Next project will be short scale bass. I actually contacted GHS about strings for my octaved 8 string build. The wound C matches well with a wound G. GHS has another set which may have suited my needs better but these work well and look cool
