The waxed cotton is a nice trad look and gets away from the glut of nylons, etc that are in our soft bagsthe zipper and the spineless sesign lets you go reasonbly flat.it has full lenth vertical pockets to hold the cover of the notebook ans situate it on both sides (ambidexerous use)BUT the small internal pockets are a bit small for just about anything (biz cards maybe)and they are oriented for right hand usethere is an external pen pocket on both side (so agian, ambi use)I wish it were a little larger for easier use of loose A5 cardsThe price point seems a little high, but that may be a race-to-the bottom pricing thing more than a reflection of value and sensitivities differthe material and the stitching feel good.[While this was sent to me for review, I take that job seriously. Getting people the wrong product is wasteful, irresponsible and a hassle for everyone.Not everything I review gets high marks -- BTW, I live in a high sales tax state, review items aren't exactly at-no-cost for me]

Right now the price is $22, I expect you will see this at around $12 soon. You are just getting the cover, not the things inside shown in the photos. You are limited to small notebooks as far as what it will hold. I had hoped it would work as an A5 binder cover also but it is to small for that. Other than that I really like it, the waxed canvas has a cool look and it is very light weight. It makes a great large wallet or passport case also.
