Why does it have to have carrageenan in it? Come on, people!

We use a carrageen extract for the plant based capsule shell, which is the only possible ingredient to use for such a vegetable soft gel capsule at the moment in our manufacturing process. The capsule shell contains about 60 mg of Carrageenan.There have been articles about carrageenan and it's negetive effects. These articles where about unpure carrageenan, which is completely different from the carrageenan we use for our capsules.The ingredient which we use for our capsules is food approved and safe for human consumption. Do the pills come in a bottle or in blister-packs?

We pack our capsules in blisters so the capsules stay more fresh than when packed in a jar. Capsules in a jar will oxidize faster than individually packed in blisters.

Is the corn starch from ge/gmo corn? do you have documentation to prove it is not, if it isn't?

The modified corn starch in our formulation is not genetically modified (GMO). The formulation is 100% GMO-free.'Modified' Corn Starch only means the corn starch is 'modified', not to confuse with 'Genetically Modified'. For the corn starch it means it's heated so it gets binding properties, which is required for the capsule shell. Testa Omega-3 uses absolutely no genetically engineered ingredients, no preservatives and no artificial sweeteners, flavours or colours.

Sunflower Oil is an ingredient that's being added to the algae oil as an excipient to aid the manufacturing process. One capsule contains about 26 mg of Sunflower Oil, from which about 55-60% are omega-6 fatty acids.
