Healthy and recommended
I gave this as a gift to my mom for her birthday. She did think I got it out of someone's yard and just wrapped it in newspaper, but once I explained, she liked it better. Lol. I told her you just put it in some soil and leave it alone. A month later, we have a whole new leaf/ear growing. Looks so healthy!

Not what I was wanting
I got the rabbit ear cactus which I do not like, looked good when I got it but as it grew, the cactus pedals were long and narrow

Good shipment, however it would be better to keep dry than place in a ziploc bag, where moisture got to the ends. Too moist to plant at first and had to dry it out for a week or so to keep the end from rotting. But now, it is growing well with both pieces forming new pads.

Small and wilted
Horrible. I ordered 5 and was shipped 4 small hand sized pads and a sprout no bigger than my middle finger. I’ll be surprised if it roots. These are NOT mature pads ideal for rooting. Of the other 4, two were wilted and probably won’t survive. I’d give zero stars, but I at least have 2 that will probably survive and grow. For $15 each this is a huge ripoff. I’d expect at least a 8-12 inch long pad for that price. Extremely disappointed I spent $75 for what will probably be 1 or 2 plants. Buy elsewhere

Patience Required
They arrived very soft and spongy, I propped them up in a pot of water for about a week and then potted them in cactus dirt. I needed to support them with sticks front and back to keep them from bending in half. By the time our Summer had passed; approximately 90 days, one of them has a piece about 9 inches grown out of the top of it while the other piece remains firm but has not grown in height. Hopefully by next Summer they will take off. Of course I have them in a pot so who knows what to expect.

I highly recommend that you buy from this seller
I have to admit that when I first received it in the mail, I thought that I had been gypped. It was just a paddle with no roots. However, after studying a little about cacti, I understood that you don't need an elaborate root system to start a Cactus. It took several weeks to see some growth but just a couple of days ago it's slowly started to come alive. I highly recommend that you buy from this seller.

Fantastic Find
I had this cactus in Mexico for 24 years. I sold my condo and wanted a plant to remember so I bought the Prickly Pear Cactus. It is doing nicely and has two new paddles so far. I am very happy to have this plant!!!

Expensive.
It was smaller than expected and I was able to purchase 2 large paddles from other merchants for the same price this seller sold it. Plant came dryer than the norm and it didn’t last unlike the other opuntias I have purchased.
