Smiffys Wartime Officer Costume

This costume fit really well and everyone commented on how good and authentic it looked. The skirt was a little see-through, but nothing a slip couldn't fit. The arms were a little large, so I just took them in a bit and shortened the sleeves. I had to wear a costume to work and I needed something cute, professional, and NOT slutty. That is not easy to find! The fit the bill perfectly. I lost count of how many people thought this costume was authentic. Everyone asked if the uniform was a family member's, if I had actually been in the military, or what military store I had purchased it from. I didn't even take off the fake medals and replace them with real ones (like another reviewer recommended). The medals are definitely fake looking, but apparently the rest of the costume looks real enough to where people overlook it! I highly recommend this costume.

I was pleasantly please with this costume. I needed it for a 1940's fund raiser which is going to be held on Armed Services Day so I figured it was perfect. The material is a little thin and you will probably need a slip under the skirt. Instead of the bib that came with the costume, I will wear a white short sleeved shirt under the jacket. I ordered an adjustable criss-cross bowtie in the same color to complete this outfit. As far as size goes: I am 5'10" and 145 pounds. I usually wear a size medium top and size 10 pants/dresses. The jacket was a perfect fit and the sleeves were actually long enough! I did have to have the skirt taken in a little for a better fit. There is a side zipper and an elastic waist band in the back of the skirt for someone who might have a thicker waist. All in all, I am happy with this costume.

This is a great looking uniform and well worth it!!! Fits great. Love the way that it looks on. Hat is somewhat smaller, only because I have a big head =-) But, I wore it for a Halloween party and I went as Agent Carter from the Marvel Comics. Everyone loved it!!! I had previously gone to the casino for a Halloween party as well. I wore a Captain America pin on my lapel as well as her SSR pin. I was getting a lot of, "Hey Agent Carter, can you take a pic with us?". Lot of Avengers costumes that night that were missing an Agent Carter...me =-). People were also wondering if this was an authentic Army costume because they said it looked so real. Very happy with my purchase.

I purchased this costume for a last minute party, and it did arrive within a couple of days. However, I ordered a large, and I received a large shirt and a small skirt. The description stated the the set included: "Women's Wartime Officer, Including: Beret, Tie, pants, Belt and Jacket, Ideal for outdoor or indoor events, Perfect for Carnival and Theme parties", I received ONLY the small skirt and a jacket. Unfortunately I has to have unexpected surgery and was unable to make the return in the allotted time. This was a definite disappointment.

The quality of the product is good. It's true that it does run large. I wear size large and ordered that size. I got a surprise package though... a mixed bag with a size small skirt and a size medium jacket. The size small wouldn't fit over my hips of course... but the jacket fit perfectly. I wore the jacket to my halloween party with a black pencil skirt I already owned. Raves, but I sent the whole misfit pacakge back to amazon the next day. Sad. Oh and just so you know... remember there are no refunds on this product- only exchanges.

Size purchased: Small. Measurements: 35-31-37/38. Bra size: 32-34D. Height: 5'4". Somewhat hourglass shape. I really feel that this costume can't be beat for the price. Some customers complained about the quality, but I thought it was an extremely good deal to get four pieces in total: zip up skirt, button up jacket with badges and gold buttons, cap, and dickie with tie. Material is a little thin but not see-through. I already removed the front chest patch and dickie tie and was able to take a closer look at the stitching, which also appears just fine. Chest is a little tight but not scandalous. Skirt zipper is serviceable, and there is some elastic to the waist band that I was grateful for. Skirt hit just above the knees for me. I bought this for a Peggy Carter costume and am really pleased that I made the purchase.

First off, this costume is beautiful. In person it looks well made and the colors are true to the photo, HOWEVER. It is oddly proportioned. I am 5 feet and around 108 pounds and the small was gigantic. The skirt hit my calf and the sleeves were very wide and completely bypassed by fingers. The frustrating part was that the chest section fit well. I thought about hemming the skirt and sleeves but it would take a lot of work and simply wasn't worth the effort for the amount I paid for it. This costume would've been perfect for our office halloween party (we had to dress up as something from the past) since I work at a Law office and it has to be rather conservative, but I ended up having to return it :(

I had seen the reviews for this costume and found it funny how so many people thought those wearing the costume were actually serving in the military. Well, I'm here to add to those kind of stories I purchased the costume as a surprise for the veterans that were attending a special dinner at my church in their honor. Most were Vietnam, Gulf, Afghanistan, and Iraq vets but my uncle is a WWII vet and I thought it would be nice to dress up and perform (armed forces hymns medley) as a treat for them. Nearly all the veterans thought I was a member of the military, commenting how I was higher ranked than they ever were, etc. Of course, I gently corrected them and eventually had to make an announcement to the group that it was just a costume, haha. So, you know that it looks pretty authentic if a bunch of veterans thought it was real. :) As far as sizing - the costume fit me well. It does run large, which I was banking on because I technically didn't fit into the sizes as described. But I saw someone else's review saying that they ran large and took the plunge. It was perfect, except that the sleeves were too long and had to be cuffed and sown to fit me properly. Overall, very pleased with this purchase. And the smiles on the veteran's faces, especially my uncle's, made it all well worth it.

Great looking costume. I won the prize at work! I was a little weary in sitting down coz there’s not much give with the material. I was afraid of wrecking it every time I moved. But if you’re just standing all night for a party this is great! It lasted the whole day at work tho, sitting, standing and trick or treating after so it’s all good. I just wish there’s a bit of stretch on the material.

Ist ein schickes Teil, rexht dünner Stoff aber ein paar Mal hält sowas ;-) Fällt recht groß aus, L entspricht 44/46 .

Il prodotto è ben fatto ed è proprio bello, il problema è la taglia, io porto un 46 italiano, ho preso la L ed è grande. Ho fatto il reso e ordinato la M perchè è veramente un buon prodotto.
