This book will neither teach you to use AFM's nor will it teach all the details of how they work. What it will do is provide a good overview for someone who has only basic familiarity of what AFM is and it will equip them to go out and do a little basic work with an instrument if they have access to one. It is also a good first step in acquiring a useful level of knowledge. Combine it with a few YouTube lectures or seminars on AFM and you will be ready to tackle a 500 page textbook or a manual for a sophisticated new instrument.,

When I opened the parcel, I saw the hardcover of the book is damaged, and the middle of the backbone is damaged too when I opened the book. Also, the corners of some pages are folded.
