Awesome read not just for anyone in the restaurant or bar business but also for the lay person like me. Presented in bite size chunks, loads of anecdotes and great tips, making it a joy to read. I’m also enjoying all the cocktail recipes one by one. Definitely recommend.

Disclosure: I've known Curtis for 20+ years, and was one of the pre publication readers.I'll start this off by saying I generally dont write reviews, and i'm not great at writing critiques of writers. But overall I found this a great first book from Curtis, interesting anecdotes, fun recipes, and valuable knowledge wrapped up in a great little package. I've met many of the people mentioned in the book, and been to several of the establishments. His descriptions match my memories fairly consistently. I felt I got my money's worth out of this purchase.My only disappointment was I wish there were a few more cocktail recipes in the book.
