🧊 Chill your server, not your workflow — Arctic-grade performance in a compact frame!
The ARCTICFreezer 4U-M (Rev. 2) is a high-performance, compact CPU cooler designed for 4U server cases and dual-CPU motherboards. It features dual 120mm PWM fans with durable double ball bearings for continuous 24/7 operation. While not natively compatible with Ampere Altra CPUs, it supports them via an optional kit or integrated version. Installation is streamlined with included thermal paste and mounting brackets, making it an ideal choice for professional server environments seeking reliable, space-efficient cooling.

The ONLY good horizontally mounted SP3 socket cooler
Usually go with Noctua for my server builds but those SP3 coolers would blow air up into the top of the case on my new ASRock ROMED8-2T motherboard. This is the ONLY SP3 cooler that blows air horizontally that does not sound like a jet taking off. I was going to 3D Print the 120mm fan adapters for this and put Noctua fans on it but the fans that come with it are more than adequate. Keeps my AMD EPYC 7402P cool and quiet while providing the proper air flow.

cools great
I bought this to build a compact RF dummy load. I use it with a 800watt ceramic resistor and an assembly to vary the speed of the fans. I have run 700w into it, and the heat sink / fan assembly had absolute no problems removing the heat.

Good performer, tricky install
Dropped my max temp under load by 10C vs a Noctua U9-based cooler. That part was awesome! The install was maddening, just could not figure out how to get all 4 screws started reliably and the instructions were IKEA-level. Night and day compared to the Noctua to the point I’m pretty sure one screw isn’t engaged at all.

Why water cool when the alternative is so cheap and effective?
Got this bad boy cooling my 2920x Threadripper CPU on an Asus ROG Zenith Extreme Alpha board. Picked everything up of Marketplace for $500 bucks with RAM and waterblocks included, but it was much more cost effective to put this bad boy in and worry about building a custom water cooled system later. I wanted to get Proxmox going and build out a media center ASAP, so I went this direction instead and honestly, unless I add a third GPU and need the space, I'll probably forgo the water cooling for a while. This thing fit fine around all my RAM, on both sides of the CPU. No clearance problems personally. Although one of the fans wont seat all the way due to a built in cooler my mobo has on it. Still, it functions fine and fits in my 4U rackmounted case no problem. And its relatively quiet as well, enough that I dont notice it above any of the other fans in the case.I only have two minor gripes. One would be that its difficult to get it to seat and screw in. I kept thinking it was seated and I'd start to screw it in the rest of the way slowly, in the trusty old star pattern all men use on anything with multiple screws, and low and behold it would pull one corner or one side out and I'd have to start over again. I honestly started to question whether or not it fit. But it does. It just takes some slight finesse. Beyond that, the amount of thermal paste that came with this unit was minuscule, and for me, unsatisfactory on a chip this size. Its like, maybe half a normal tube if that. Looks like 1/4 of a normal tube. Luckily, I had a spare on hand that came in handy. I would reccomend purchasing some just in case, as its not expensive and better safe than sorry in my experience.

Didn't fit X399 ASRock Fatality board
This doesn't fit in the motherboard because the cooler orientation and the direction the air flows is wrong. One fan hits a heat shiel and the other blocks the GPU slot. The screws were extremely difficult too and alignment was difficult to obtain. I have a ASRock Fatality X399 board so if you have this board it's a no go.

Great Cooler
I have it on an Epyc 7532 and it keeps it well under 70c even under heavy load. The included fans are quiet even at high speeds. Super easy to install too which is nice.

Better than an AIO
This thing is a beast, I bench marked it for 24 hours and the temps stayed low

To fit the screws is quite complicated
