I read a lot of reviews about these replacement key fobs and the one that got my attention was one where someone bought the replacements and just switched the circuit board inside and it worked great. That's what I did, I had two original Ford fobs where the key ring part was broken, ordered two replacement ones, changed out the circuit board and put in the battery from the Ford fobs and now i have two great new fobs with key rings! I used the new rubber button part as well. Since i used the original Ford circuit board, no loss in range or erratic behavior. Please note! I did NOT try the key fob as it came from these guys, so I am making NO comment or judgement on the functionality of the replacement parts!! I also did not have to program the new ones, since I used the original board, but the process seems simple to do so. One final comment, I looked for 'replacement shells" only as well, and these guys had a better price on the whole replacement key fob than guys selling just a shell! I highly recommend buying from these guys to at least change your circuit board out!

Programming instructions were wrong. Driver's door stays open, press unlock, ignition on and off 8 times and leave on. Press any button on the remote and the door locks will cycle. Turn ignition off and text remote. This was on a 2003 Ford Taurus.

True Story; I lost my original Keyless Fab and decided to see where I can find a new one.My Search lead me to this Seller. At first I questioned this item because of the cost. I was always told "You get, What You pay for" I thought about ordering this at the requested price plus shipping costs. Finally I did order it,I received it in the allotted time. After receiving this item,I headed out to my Car to program my New Keyless Fob. I followed the directions and within moments the Keyless Fob was working,I was very happy.(Did I mention that you have to be inside your car to program this?)After I finished the programming,while setting in the car I Locked and Un-Locked the doors, activate the Panic alarm and open the truck from this device.At that very moment,I was happy knowing that my investment has paid off. I proceeded to head back into my home,I was about 5 feet from my car when I realized I forgotten to lock the doors.I pressed the Lock Button on The Keyless Fob and NOTHING, I tried 5 more times and still NOTHING, I moved closer.still NOTHING,finally I was standing next to the car. Still NOTHING, I finally got inside the car and you guested it, "IT WORKED" What good is A Keyless Fob that will only work when you are sitting inside the car. Long story,short. I E-Mailed The Seller,told them my problem and then withing 5 days,I had a NEW Keyless Fob a long with A Pre-Paid Return Envelope. i was instructed to return the defective Keyless Fob. Button Line here,YES I would Recommend this Seller. VERY Pleased with their Professionalism and look forward to dealing with them in the future. This was Worth every Penny!!!!!:)

The ease of programming this keyless entry remote is great. I did it within a minute without a problem. The problems come from the actual range of the remote once programmed. The range of this keyless entry remote is very poor. I had to be right up against the window of my car to unlock both the driver and passenger side. After about 5 tests of seeing if I was just crazy, the passenger side button stopped working altogether. Then the drivers side stopped working too.I wasn’t worried too much since I still had the stock key remote from the factory. The stock remote had a broken case and worn button pads, but the buttons still functioned as they should.I used a knife to pry open both remotes and put the old circuit board with the new button pads in the new case. I went back out to my car and re-programmed it the same way. Now I get the superior range of the original remote while it looks brand new!

Only issue, need to click thru several websites to get to the correct car (in my case, a 2001 Taurus).... Followed the instruction I was directed to online, worked perfect the 1st time. Thanks

I really liked this item. Cheap, easy to program, does everything I needed it to do.I purchased it because I bought a program car from the dealership and they said that those cars didn't come with the remote locking/unlocking functions. It would be about $800 to put one in.A friend at the bar who works at Ford told me that the program cars were just like all the others because they weren't going to change the assembly line for short runs. The only difference is that they didn't give you the fobs. He mentioned that you could test it by running through the programming sequence. If the car responded, it would probably (99%) take a remote.Short story, car responded, I ordered the fob, it works.The only issues I have is 1) that because I only ordered one, I can't get a second one without messing up the first, and 2) it's extremely hinky at short range. It actually works better if you are ten feet away from the car than it does right next to it.

Instructions say turn key off and on 8 times. At first I turned the key too far off and it didn't work. Off is just one click until the lights are out. Also, I programmed it to the fob with the broken loop and now the spare fob doesn't work. I will have to reprogram the spare fob to the new one.
