This product is overall very good. While there is a faintly visible line where the two parts join, I was very impressed. It’s easy to use and takes up surprisingly little freezer space. It produces very clear ice (tested with regular filtered water), which makes beautiful cocktails and spirits on the rocks. The product also seems to be high quality (I ordered the stainless steel version). Overall, I consider it excellent value for money and would definitely recommend it.

Great product. It makes very clear ice spheres. Customers considering this product should know that it will take about 48 hours to freeze because of the insulation around the mold. In order to produce clear ice, the water needs to freeze from the top down because as the water freezes, the dissolved impurities get pushed downward and out of the silicone mold. I bought 2 and produce 2 ice spheres every other day and put them into a zip top freezer bag to store until party time.

Ok, this is by far the best sphere ice maker I’ve found! The other plastic ones do not compare. The ice size is perfect, I love the steel design, and it’s easy to fill up. I found that maybe tap or mineral water works better than distilled water for clear ice with minimal bubbles. I gave it four stars because of the conflicting directions for the type of water to use based on the box and paper instructions. I will note, there is about 1/2 inch of ice at the bottom of the steel cup after you remove the mold. Just use hot water to melt and refill at least a day prior to needing the ice.

These ice cube makers make nearly perfect, clear ice cubes. If I had to guess, I'd say 96 to 98% clear, with some artifacts within the ice on the top side. The silicone molds are fairly easy to remove from the metal container. Very easy to use and they make your drinks look better and it appears the ice cubes take longer to melt when they're nearly perfect. I previously used cheaper, plastic round ice cube makers which were decent, but definitely did not produce very clear ice cubes. These are a few steps up above those plastic ones and are worth the price.

Works well and makes clear balls of ice. I use boiled water that has been cooled down to room temperature and it works well.

Impressive product so far.

Simple and easy to use. Ice cube is as clear as my tap water will allow and always a sphere. I’ve had other sphere molds that allow the ice to expand and become oblong, but the design of this mold prevents that from happening. My only issue, and why I’ve chosen to get rid of it now, is the mold sticks and doesn’t release after I take it out of the freezer anymore. I’ve left it sit out a reasonable amount of time (20 mins) and it still doesn’t release. The last time I used it, I had to apply as much pressure as I could to pull the mold out and when it finally released, the cube flew across the room and shattered. This could just be a years worth of wear creating issues, but it wasn’t worth it to me to continue to use it. Would’ve been a 5-star review otherwise.
