If you drop this device with this cover on, it's toast. But then, given the fragile nature of eink screens this is probably going to happen with whatever case you get anyway.The benefit of this case is that it does afford some protection, especially in a backpack on the go. It also looks great (though it is not quite black as the description says. Not really an issue for me. I don't find it terribly flimsy for what they were going for. There are two positions to view in landscape mode-though a possibility to stand in portrait mode would be nice. It is solid enough in the two slots to view in landscape, if you are not shaking it in ways I never do but are shown in some reviews.

Not sure why this is so expensive. Almost feels like thin cardboard wrapped in plastic. I don’t think it provides much protection. I wish it was quality like the Remarkable Paper Pro case…

In the pictures, the color looks light (almost white), which is why I bought it, but in reality, it’s very dark. The pictures are misleading.

It does the job, but I'm not a fan.A few issues:There's not quite enough of a lip. I wish that the front cover had a bit more of a lip on the bottom and top to make it easier to open and to close again when it's folded back on itself. It's so thin that it's very hard to separate the two layers when it's folded back to close it again, feels very awkward and feels like I'm doing to drop it. At the same time, the little bit of lip that does exist is just enough to destabilize a thicker stylus from the magnetic mount. Ideally there'd be a bit less of a lip in the center where the stylus mounts and more lip on the front cover only above and below the stylus. (think of a manilla folder tab, but not quite as pronounced).The other issue is that the case is meant to allow you to prop the device up, but the magnets are too strong at the center, making it difficult to prop the device out. If they used weaker magnets on the center and stronger magnets on the outer edge to compensate to ensure that it doesn't fall out then it would be easier to prop it in landscape mode.I'll probably be keeping an eye out for aftermarket cases once the third party market has time to catch up.

For those that are particular about colours (I am), this case is actually a dark grey. It's not black (eg moleskine black). The felt inside is a dull forest green. For the cost of this - the felt inside and overall feel is kind of cheap. I would wait for third party cases to become available if you want something that will be more protective. The case is very thin and the sides of the device feel exposed. Note Max is a glass display so a good case is important to protect the screen. Ordered from Canada because it's not available here, and it's definitely NOT worth the price Canadians have to pay for it. Just my 2 cents

The cover is cheaply made with an expensive price. Doesn't worth it.
