Does Amazon make efforts to ensure that batteries are not counterfeit?

Received some counterfeit batteries mixed in with OEM batteries. The counterfeit batteries were all dead upon receipt. If you choose to buy batteries or anything in Amazon look over the packaging carefully and report it to Amazon so they can take action against the seller. I would probably not buy batteries from Amazon as this appears to be a real problem based on the number of comments.
