It's so Big, but it's so Good!
What can you say about Luminos eyepieces? First impression, they are big and heavy. Lots of glass and metal that could put you over the limit on your mount if you are already close, but so worth the view! I now own the 31mm, 23mm, 19mm, and 15mm Luminos eyepieces. For the money they are a great value, exceptionally built with outstanding wide, clear, bright views, and convenient features like the adjustable eyecup. Luminos is not TeleView good, but what is? Luminos holds it's own at its given pricepoint and is a great value. Using with a Celestron CPC 925 Edge HD.

Outstanding Eyepiece!
It would be difficult to overstate how wonderful this eyepiece is. It IS enormous (roughly the size of a softball) as other reviewers have pointed out, but the clarity is outstanding. It offers a wide view of the sky making it easy to find objects, even if you're slightly off on your finder. It also offers the most beautiful view of the moon I've seen. It fills your view yet provides incredible detail. I could not be happier with this eyepiece.

The Moby Dick of eyepieces
As many have noted, this is about the largest eyepiece you could possibly imagine. I knew it was big from other reviews, but I admit I started laughing out loud when I actually took it out of the box. The eyepiece is about the size of a softball, and seems to weigh just a tad less than a bowling ball. That said, there is nothing to hate about its optical quality. My eyepiece is crystal clear, sharp, and offers a stunning wide-angle view of the sky. I am more than pleased by it. However, any telescope user needs to consider the size and weight of this eyepiece. It may throw off the balance of your scope quite easily. But honestly, if you can deal with that you will be more than happy with its optical performance.

Really nice eyepiece
This completes my set of Luminos eyepieces. Easy to look thru. This 31mm one makes a Coke can look like a shot glass (well, almost). Big. It is 10 inches around the middle. Good design for great views. Note its weight. Be sure you have counterweight system.

Very impressed, so far.
I have an 1.25" telescope with a 1.25" star diagonal and a 1.25" to 2" adapter. It appeared that the FOV was somewhat reduced with this setup. I recently purchased a 2" star diagonal but have not yet used it. I am hoping to regain some of the lost FOV with this setup. Overall, I am very impressed/satisfied with this eyepiece, even if my reconfiguration does not pan out.

Nice lens
This is my third Luminus lens. This one being a 31mm and 82 degree is quite big. I love the quality. I just wish that they were all parfocused.

Strong recommend for family
Although previous review information remind me it is as huge as coke can, I am still surprised by its size when I receive it. This huge guy is used with Nexstar 8SE. My family really enjoy the image of Moon, Saturn,Jupitor .. It leverage the experience of "Star night". Strong recommend for family.

Serious Weight Sharp and Wide
The 23mm Luminos is at the top end MASSIVE weighing in at 1.1kg, make sure your focuser can lift it Nice field of view, not TV but for the price, amazingly good Remember this Luminos is not for the faint hearted, its big and heavy In the league of Terminagler, Enjoy :)

I CAN SEE!!!!!!
I had no idea how important a quality eyepiece was until I started buying up Luminos eyepieces. First, let's talk about the elephant in the room. These things are BIG. I call my 31mm a hand grenade, because it's about the same size. You'll need a quality 2 inch diagonal to get the most out of this. Instead of looking through a pin hole, I'm now looking through a window into space. I'm seeing much more crispness to the image over the stock eyepiece. The field of view is wonderful. Seriously, the only way to get better than this is to pay two or three times the price. First, make sure your mount can take the extra weight. This thing isn't light. Second, this review was written using an 8 inch SCT. I don't know how it work on a faster scope, but on my Nexstar 8SE, it was fantastic.

Massive
I guess that what it takes for good optics but this thing is massive.

Quality as expected from Celestron.
Very impressed with the performance of this eyepiece. The wide angle view gives a stunning look at the milky way, although 31mm is not ideal for planets. I have the 10mm for that.
