I did receive these via the Vine program, and my thanks to the manufacturer/seller and Amazon for providing them! For now I can give only a first impression that doesn't include durability. Only time will tell how these keep an edge, but for now I can say that these are indeed sharp. Now note that these have 7 mm jaws, which is a little larger than the official 6 mm size for full jaw cuticle nippers. Still, they're very, very good. There's a flatter "slope" to the top of the jaws, so they feel precise as they cut, more like half-jaw nippers. For comparison, I have half-jaws nippers from another brand whose cutting edges and the top have a 60-degree angle, making them too clunky to use with precision.These are machined excellently. The points are actually that, pointed and sharp, and the alignment is perfect so that they cut sharply and precisely. I closed them tightly and held them up to my computer monitor, to see what light came through the closed jaws. A little light does show through the back half of the jaws, where they're not quite together, but the front half of the jaws are tight, where the cutting counts.I wish the pivot were a little looser, so that I could move the handles myself as I prefer, and not rely on the spring levers. I'll have to try some lubricating oil to see if that helps. For that reason and their jaw size, I was thinking to give 4 stars, but I will give 5 stars because these are among the best nippers I've ever used for this price. They cut better than a few half-jaws I've recently bought (paid for myself and not received via Vine) and in fact cost more than these Harry's nippers.I already gave myself a full trimming of my cuticles and hangnails, and the blood along one fingernail attests to how sharp these nippers are. The blood is actually not a bad thing and shows how well these nippers performed around my notoriously bad fingernails.Note to the manufacturer/seller: these need to come with a protective plastic tube or the like put over the blade ends. My nippers arrived fine, which surprised me because transit can be rough. Nippers without protection, in just a small plastic bag, within the delivery envelope, can easily get damaged.Second note to the manufacturer/seller: please make this in a half-jaw version, or even quarter-jaw! Then you will have the perfect nippers.

I've had a dull pair of nippers for a while now, so ordered these as a replacement. First, these are super sharp. Maybe I noticed it more because I've been using dull ones for so long, but He's definitely trim cuticles and hang nails with minimal effort. They are fairly easy to handle and maneuver as well and are made of high quality stainless steel. This is my first pair with the bridge style spring in the middle... Not sure how I feel about it yet. I do know that the individual pieces are too tightly screwed into the handles so it's harder to close the blades. My other pair has a single lever and it's much easier to close and open. But I'm hoping this style will be sturdier. The last hair I had for years and they seem to be just as well or better made, so hopefully I'll have the same luck with these.

I ordered these cuticle trimmers as my previous pair was getting very dull and I thought a new pair would keep me from breaking cuticles. This pair is so sharp that you have to be very careful with them at least for a while until they get dulled down a bit. I was also used to a much smaller women-sized cuticle trimmer from a beauty store and honestly, it was very hard for me to hold these comfortably without slipping. Would recommend for someone with larger hands.

The engineering of this cuticle trimmer I was hoping to be much better. It is okay but I am not happy with it and plan to keep looking for a better product. The reflex structure comprised from the two metal pieces that press one another and should make the trimmers open back up after being pressed simply don't work well for me. They're a bit too difficult to control and lead to a sloppy job from my experience. Not the worst but not great.
