Simple and well designed pH meter kit
Atlas Scientific seems to have done a good job putting together this pH meter kit. Everything was packaged well upon arrival, especially the EZO circuit, which gets its own hard plastic container. The bottles had individual plastic bags around them to prevent spills. Obviously the packaging doesn't matter much after you open it, but the packaging quality can often tell you something about the quality of the contents inside.I ordered this for a simple project that will use an Arduino to turn on a pump whenever the pH drops below a certain value. I don't have much experience with the Arduino, so I was a little nervous that I wouldn't be able to get it working, and my $120 spent on this kit would go to waste. Luckily, it was pretty simple to put the kit together, and within about 15 minutes after unpackaging I was reading pH. The code provided was clear, so I was able to edit it for my purposes pretty easily.Others have commented that they had problems with the EZO circuit, which made me a little nervous handling it. Pushing it into a breadboard is a little nerve racking, because it feels like it might snap in half if you aren't careful enough. That being said, I haven't had any problems so far.Overall, the kit is really simple to get going, and it worked really well for my purposes. I'm still a little concerned about the EZO circuit, and only time will tell if it holds up. If you don't want to spend a lot of time piecing together a kit and just need something that works, this pH kit is probably the way to go.

Amazing product
I like the circuit it’s easy to program to the api and worked remarkably wellBe careful of the sma connector touching the edge of your box it can cause reading errorsThe ph probe left a lot to be desiredI had it mounted with suction cups inside a reservoir with an average ph of 6 and within 4 months the top came loose and stopped giving me accurate measurements. Now it will only report 6.66 for phBought a cheap Chinese ph probe with a bunch connection and an adapter for bunch to sma for 20 bucks and it’s worked flawlessly ever since

The kit works well. The issue I had was that I received a PH5 PH stamp with different version of SW and all the instructions that came in the kit box were for PH3. The commands were almost all completely different. Took me several days to finally figure that out. So that was the only disappointing aspect of this purchase.

Great sensor kit
I love using this sensor, and its accuracy is amazing.I found the documentation troubling. The documentation, alone, was bad enough to make me put off buying this for a full month in search of other sensors. On one hand, the documentation is easily the most interesting and visually striking I've ever seen for a sensor, and it truly is all you need to get the sensor up and running. On the other hand, it's VERY disjointed. Some documentation issues:1) it's next to impossible to find the documentation you need on your first try (there are 13 choices on the company's product page alone! and you need an older doc not in this list to learn the steps to get it into UART mode)2) there is an unprofessional rant at the end of the main doc3) it's outdated, explaining how to work around having an 8GB microSD card (which is not even a concern for this product)4) it's incomplete, and their Instructables page is more helpful5) it's littered with wiring diagrams and setup steps for another product, and you keep having to read "if you're using the pH sensor"6) the new documentation forgets to explain how to switch modes, oof! It says you need to, but it doesn't explain how in its 70+ pages. You can find the steps in an older document. And this warning is all for nothing, because the sensor is set to the correct mode out of the factory7) Never in my life have I seen a sensor maker void the warranty if the product is soldered. What?!? Yet you'll find that in the documentation! And nonsensically, it goes on to explain how to splice the probe wires, which somehow does not invalidate the warranty.

It meets all expectations
First, it WORKS.Second, it works as documented. OK, the Python software they provide is hard to fathom, but it works.Third, it reads pH to the specified tolerance without calibration.Forth, it is sturdy.Fifth, the cable is actually long enough to be useful.Sixth, the circuit board is easy to mount and is sturdy.

ANY Pipes/Wires in your tank may cause issues
Good product with good documentation. One thing that completely surprised me, to the point that I nearly returned the product, was that initially I had very large swings in values over fairly short periods of time.I followed the wiring docs from Atlas to the letter, but still had issues. The tank that the probe was in had a submerged pump.I expected this to cause issues while the pump was running, but not when it was off.I unplugged the pump from the mains (which were off on this circuit) and the values stabilized!Everything is happy now.
