I have used Nippon Kodo incense for nearly 3 decades and appreciate the quality of their incense.

very light scent
These sticks are very thin. a lot like pieces of spaghetti. They burn down fairly quickly leaving a light scent. Not the typical amber fragrance, but certainly not unpleasant.I will certainly use it all, but probably won't purchase it again.

If you love the smell of Amber, try this
This is one of the best incenses ever. Leave a nice hint of scent of amber and it lingers. Perfect for bathroom, bedroom, and not too much of a smoky trail. Burns perfectly and evenly.Give it a try, you won’t regret it

A Warm, Dry, Non-Sweet Amber
After several decades, I recently decided to start burning incense again simply for the olfactory pleasure of it. I purchased several different fragrances of incense from Shoyeido, including Moss Garden (probably my favourite thus far), Cedarwood, Sandalwood (in the yellow box), Jasmine, and Amber. I like them all. I expected the Amber to be quite sweet, but it is not really sweet. It does indeed remind me of amber notes in some of my favourite perfumes, though.Compared to Indian incense, the Shoyeido joss sticks are more subtle. I think they burn more cleanly, and the fragrances are not interfered by a core stick. They subtly scent the room in which I burn them, but they do not scent much more than the one small room. This is a plus if you live with someone who may not enjoy incense as much as you do. I understand Shoyeido also make a Frankincense incense and a Myrrh incense. I want to add both to my collection in the near future. These are very nice incenses for the price point, and I encourage everyone who has been thinking of trying one or more of these scents to jump in with both feet. If you have burnt and enjoyed Indian incense to any extent, I think you will love these joss sticks. I burn mine in a small koro filed with Shoyeido white ash. I also plan to try sand as a medium as well. These joss sticks do not become so hot that they would damage a porcelain koro. I like that fact. Also, both ash and sand allow the joss stick to burn up completely. Your sticks will continue to burn even after they have burnt down past the surface of the ash or the sand. I like this very much, too, as I feel there is no waste. I have been enjoying these joss sticks so much that I now find myself burning several sticks a day. They are a nice, quiet, pleasure conducive to relaxation, peace, and meditation as well as olfactory pleasure. Next, I plan to try burning incense resins on a charcoal for what some people call the ultimate way to enjoy pure incense.

Fills Me With Calm
I love these. We're living in turbulent times and anyone that says differently is lying to themselves. These incense sticks fill the room with a subtle, yet present scent that calms the spirit and helps to disconnect from the chaos of everyday life.I do with they were a hair cheaper, but honestly, you get what you pay for.

Amber, yes, but powdery, too
I love amber scents. I am a huge fan of this incense company. But the amber scent also carries with it that powdery quality which I do not care for at all. I have relegated myself to using these on the patio for scent and as an insect deterrent, which it does quite well. There's like a billion of them to a box (okay, 200, but it seems like more). Usual burn time for incense (about fifteen minutes?).Good purchase. I received mine adequately packaged and quite promptly - but I have Amazon Prime, so that may be cheating.

Good, but amber scent a little different than other brands.
I had an Amber incense I really liked - but the smell of the Morningstar product is different. That said, I have grown to like it. It's more of an old-school smell, which reminds me of the incense of the 1960s. I have the Amber and the Cedarwood scents and I like them both.Burn time is shorter than longer incense sticks are made with a bamboo stick. (These sticks are solid incense.)

GREAT: Nice subtle scent, very quick delivery!
The Amber Incense give off a very nice and subtle smelling scent. The sticks burn long and the smell is just right. I'm sensitive to various incense so I'm carefull what I burn in the house. The delivery was also speedy, 1 day before the estimate on Amazon, Top notch! Additionally there was a note that came with the delivery giving it a personal touch. Thanks Karen. I highly recommend these incense and would order again from this seller in the future.
