ELM VALLEY SOAPS Green-Carbolic-White Household Soap Laundry Bars 3 x 454g (1lb)

I'm over the moon with these soaps which are perfect for what I bought them for - the texture and lather is wonderful for making such as laundry soap and washing up liquid. They grate/shred very easily which is great for diy household products - I made a washing up liquid in about 5 minutes by shredding some of the green so it came about 1/3 of the way up am empty squeezy bottle, then added a bit of the carbolic to give it a nice fresh smell, then topped it up with water to the top - it made a good lather in the washing up bowl and I was impressed with how well it worked on the dishes! I cut a slice of the buttermilk soap to use for personal washing too and whilst some of the soap does crumble a bit during slicing, these crumbles won't be wasted as I save them in a bag to be used in laundry or to make a liquid handsoap etc, and there was still a usable chunk to use in the bathroom. I used it as a shampoo bar and with a final vinegar rinse it made my hair wonderfully soft - it has a nice rich lather which seems to be very good for my dry frizzy hair! I'll be using the carbolic for cleaning floors, disinfecting surfaces etc as they did in the old days. For vintage and low-waste fans like myself this is a perfect package and the soap is beautiful quality!

Very hard to cut into smaller pieces cleans well but not has good as the old fairy household soap

Used these for making laundry detergent - lovely mild scents.
