Vic Firth Corpsmaster® Signature Snare -- Ralph Hardimon

Bought my daughter an electric drum set for Christmas. I had also bought her a cheap pair of sticks to match her size (she's 7). However, when I tried to play, I just laughed at how light they were. Perfect for her.. not so much for me. I played snare all through school and marching band all through high school. So I am used to a heavier rounded tip stick. Never had a problem with Vic Firth in the past, so I had no reservations ordering these. Absolutely perfect weight and balance for me! Nice and thick. If you are using these for marching they will hold up to plenty of abuse. They are perfectly matched in tone and can barely even tell a difference between the two. This is one of those times that buying quality makes a world of a difference. If you are a new marching snare player and are struggling with open (double stroke) rolls, then I highly recommend these sticks. The extra weight will make a world of a difference. Beat on!!

The quality of these has gone downhill. Used to be my favorite but they’ve added more weight to these and they have less rebound. One stick has a mugger higher pitch sound as well, huge mismatch. Innovative sticks usually come more matched so this was a let down. I need to buy another set to get a matched sound now.

Purchased for my daughter, who is on the drum line in our high school band along with a practice drum pad and she loves them. Since I didn't know what to purchase I asked our band director and he recommended these. She's been using them almost daily since Christmas and they have held up great!

These have been my go-to sticks as long as I've been playing (since 2010) but this pair doesn't have matched tone. It's brutal when playing on a practice pad and really trying to focus on even strokes between hands. Buy in person if you can!

Sounds great being tapped on all the furniture in my house by man-child. For once I wish I'd followed the Amazon "suggested purchases to go with this item" at the bottom of the description which included a practice drum pad.

I bought these for the Pathfinder drum corp at my church. Most are between 12 and 15 years old. The drumsticks are the perfect weight to practice rudiments as they learn to play the snare

I love these drumsticks, one of my friend who's a percussionist recommended me to buy these. She is going to teach me percussion skills. The sticks came in new, no damage whatsoever. Vic Firth all the way!

As a drummer, these are some very smooth/fine textured drumsticks. They handle very well and they would be a great stick set for you if you are considering percussion and need a quality stick that will last long. They have good impact velocity and they are not too heavy or too light. I am aware that they are a common stick used by drummers but it was a good fit. Another good production from vic firth.

One of the best all-around stock marching snare drum sticks available. I've used these quite a lot over my 20+ year career drumming and teaching and have nothing bad to say about them. If you get a bad pair Vic Firth is pretty cool about replacement as well so no worries(doesn't happen often). These are solid, a tad longer than the average stick and seem to last pretty well. No complaints, a good go-to stick.
