Iglu Shield

I was hospitalised with supraglottitus, never heard of it either, several throat infection causing it to close among other symptoms. My mouth was overrun with ulcers, inside my lips, on my gums tongue and upper throat. After the ulcers started to recede I was released on antibiotics. But at home ulcers increased and some were really big, eating and speaking near impossible. I've been putting this on a collection of ulcers where my front jaw/gums meets my upper lip, right in the joint between the two and on a huge one on my lower lip, about 15mm long. Also on the underside of my tongue, about 15mm also but that's impossible to measure. Also on 2 on the top of my mouth, around 5mm each. The rest are too far back to comfortably deal with Anyway this stuff is a revelation. My case is extreme I know but this changes everything. It forms a coating, it's awkward to get in tight spots with a finger so use something else, flatter, fork or teaspoon handle if you've flat got flat ones. It forms a strange coating over the ulcer as soon as your spit touches it and it's incredibly good. I can drink a cup of tea, eat a banana and not be in agony from the covered ulcers. It lasts a long time, several hours on the lips. The under tongue one was trickier and that lasts long enough to get through a brew and a small meal, the flex down there is extreme after all. I 100% recommend this to everyone and I sincerely wish my doctors had told me about it. It is odd feeling but so much better then the pain which it immediately relieves simply by cutting out the friction and influx of solid and liquids as you drink and eat. Cheap as chips at this price, no proper taste or, no bad smell, easy to use after a bit of practice too. If possible dry the area you're applying it, that hurts I know, once you've smeared this on let the spit roll over it, don't rub it with a spit covered tongue or finger, let the liquid flow over it and it'll make a seal as a rubbery soft coating.

Fantastic stuff. I used to suffer quite horrifically with mouth ulcers due to the fact I had crooked teeth which would irritate my mouth, sometimes having 5 at a time which would make it almost impossible to eat. Luckily I don’t have that issue anymore, but I still keep a tube handy in case one pops up. This stuff is a godsend, very easy to use, works quickly, and much more helpful than other products out there. Use a small amount, half a pea size is usually more than enough. Cover the ulcer completely, and then allow your saliva to run over it, which then forms a shell like cover, allowing you to eat without pain. It also seems to help them heal faster, as they’re no longer being irritated and are protected from further irritation. Relief is immediate, and the taste is minimal, however, even if it was disgusting, I’d use it simply because it makes a very unpleasant experience much easier to tolerate. Cannot recommend enough if you suffer from mouth ulcers.

This stuff works.. and what a relief. The coverage is great and it sticks fast. Follow the instructions on the pack. It provides pain relief and is effective in helping to heal. You will have to apply it after you have eaten but it’s worth it.

Amazing. Instant relief. Used a teaspoon handle to swipe it over a deep ulcer in the creases of my mouth. Worked perfectly.

I can't praise this product enough! My mouth was so sore with several mouth ulcers on my tongue. This arrived so quickly and I immediately used it on the ulcers. What a relief. No stinging like other ulcer treatment, and instant relief!!!! I was so amazed. A product that actually worked as it is supposed to. Definitely, definitely recommend. If you suffer from mouth ulcers, give this try. You won't regret it.

the only one of its kind, creating a barrier on ulcers to avoid further damage and speed up healing. The only minor issue is the choice to add a mint flavour which makes food taste off. Beats being in pain for weeks on end though.

Bought to protect my gums from the Invisalign attachments as they were making my cheeks sore. It’s amazing highly recommended! No nasty taste either.

I would 100% recommend, really easy to apply, forms a barrier immediately. I wasn’t even aware of this product until it was recommended yesterday. I have an ulcer on my lip and I’ve tried bonjela, anebasol, drug store ‘sealants’. And they stung a lot, some helped the pain but only for 5 mins and others didn’t help at all. This iglu shield has given instant relief.
