Useful but slightly pricey
I very much enjoy using this light. It gets very bright and the bi-color LEDs are very useful. It is just brighter than most lights of its form factor, but it is also slightly more expensive. Though it is mostly build out of plastic parts, it feels well constructed and I do not have any issues with build quality. The accessories that come with it are very nice. The carrying case is a nice addition along with a very nice ball head. I do wish it had an internal battery that is rechargeable, but the usb-c is very useful to connect to battery packs or other sources. I much prefer the usb-c instead of a DC barrel connector so I am happy about that. I would highly recommend this light. It is slightly larger than some of the competition, but it is very light and realistically not actually that large. It works great for what it is… I use it as a video conferencing light and it excess at that.

Mind-blowing features and value! A+++ 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I was looking for a decent video light for a very long period of time but just couldn't find "the one". Granted, I came across the video where this light was introduced to the public for the first time. I liked its features very much and had decided to do deeper research and was blown away by its capabilities.I preordered this light, however, I got it just a few days later. Well, this is a very well made light, though, it was made entirely from plastic (that's why $98, not a $298). Quality packaging, decent bag, 2 diffusing filters, upgraded metal stand, generic USB-C cable and the light itself.Color accuracy is superb. I never had such perfect white balance in video works. Very accurate representation. Dimming works perfectly as well, from 0% to 100%, like advertised. It gives you a great flexibility for your needs.Overall, this is my first impression of the light and I really love this thing. This is my first Aputure light and I'm sure not the last one. ✌🏻

Great build quality and output in a versatile package.
Aputure has been pretty innovative lately and this light is no exception. Although the light is of plastic construction, the materials are very high quality and I have not had a single issue with these rolling around in the bottom of my camera bag. The multiple power options are really useful as I always have a battery or USB battery pack to run them. The light and color reproduction is perfect. I couldn't ask for more. It is nice to have a seperate switch to pwer the light on, as having a wheel like the previous generation meant that I always had to estimate the proper output in fixed situations. With this light I can set the output and turn it off when done without losing the output setting. The ball head that is included is so good I wish they sold them separately. I'm not kidding, it is that good. It feels like Aputure is really able to make quality lighting products over and over again and learn how to make them better rather than just regurgitate the same garbage like their competitors in each price category. You simply cannot get a more versatile, higher quality or more powerful light at this price.

A Must for Wedding Photographers
These lights are fantastic. We have shot about 100 weddings with these now. 2 of them plus 2 of the large batteries easily fit in our camera bag, and these have become the go to for most needed lighting. The battery life is great, we can go 3 weddings or so without needing to recharge (not using the entire time of course) and the brightness level is great. Love them, just wish there were some modifiers that were made for these. Color shift slightly green in the warmer ranges, and max brightness is 5600ish (all leds at full power). It goes quite blue which we can use as an accent. We keep 2 in the camera bag and 2 more in the lighting bag.

This thing is nuts
This light is crazy good, I should've bought these sooner. Amazing fill light and at night can even function as a key light if you have the right diffusion, Crazy powerful, Used it on two shoots and it works like a charm for what it is. Small form factor and paired with Np-f970 batteries, lasts for atleast 3 hours on 100% 5600k (still had some juice to spare)

Great Output - Solid Build - Slight Color Cast
Very solid little light, well worth the cost. The variable color temperature is great, especially since it can be adjusted all the way up to 9500k which is very blue and useful for an accent light. There is a very slight green color cast in the warmer range of the light, mostly noticeable around 3200k. It's not a dealbreaker by any means and the light still looks great. However, if you pair it with tungsten lights or practicals, you may notice the difference.Overall light output is really good for the size. Bear in mind, it is brightest around 5600k, which is when it's using all of its LEDs. Like most light panels where the LEDs are arranged in a fixed pattern, there is a bit of staggered banding in shadows. In terms of build quality, it's mostly plastic, but it seems well-built. I suspect if you dropped it onto concrete the clear plastic panel on the front might crack, but it doesn't feel like it will fall apart from normal wear and tear anytime soon. Sony NP batteries fit securely, with no wobbling. The mounting points are also secure and stable. The little pouch and ball head that come with it are very nice. As are the diffusion filters (there are two included).I'd go 4.5 stars if I could, but I went 4 stars because of the slight green cast. I think it would be hard to do much better at the price point. I've been thinking about picking up the new Aputure AL-MX as well, since it uses a different type of LED the color issue may not be present.

A very good and small light for around $100.
This light is flexible and features power control as well as color temperature control. It's well made, takes ubiquitous Sony style batteries and it just the right tool sometimes to have in the camera bag. Video or stills. Just for those times when you need a few more photons to make everything work. Oh, yeah, it's an LED panel. But you knew that....

Solid Light!
Solid light for the money, good battery life, and solid build quality. Definitely recommend having for a secondary light in interviews. It takes up virtually no space in your bag- well worth the money.

Extremely useful
Not great as a key light or to use behind a diffuser because it throws a fairly narrow beam. It's is bright though, and the battery lasts a super long time.I will use this as a very small and light weight hair/background light.Perfect for travel, and i'll probably get another. It's replacing my Neewer panels because it's so much smaller and easier to work/travel with.

Got this off Black Friday sale so its worth the steal! This impressive little light packs a punch. Accurate bi-colored lights and at 5600k, its crazy bright. I bought 2 since its on sale and its been my best purchase so far.

Great little light in a small form factor!
I was looking for a fill light for my camcorder. A small form factor was a consideration along with a reasonable light output. A professional light, I was looking at less expensive lights costing 1/2 as much, however, if you're this on a paid shoot there is no way I would consider compromising any of my equipment. Great little light!

Top quality, extremely satisfied
Absolutely love it. Small, extremely bright and I love the ability to dial in accurate % numbers for the intensity and Kelvin temperature. The carrying case is a very nice, dare I say the best I’ve seen?
