DC9 to 12V Wired Strobe Siren Red Light Sound Flash Buzzer Siren Home Security Alarm System Electric Security Siren 110dB@12V DC

Loud and bright, touched it to a 9-volt battery and scared the crap out of myself, wired it from the smoke detector in the garage to the kitchen so it can be seen and heard inside the house.

I got this to use with my Hubitat smart home system, no this is not smart by itself. I install this outside on my ceiling over my porch so I could have an outside siren when my alarm would go off. I use it with a 120v to 12v power supply and have that plugged into a smart plug. I have it set up so when my alarm goes off it turns on the smart plug which turns on the siren/strobe. And boy is this siren loud! The plastic housing is pretty cheap and cracked a little while I was screwing it to the ceiling. Time will tell how long it last but it's fairly protected where it's at. Overall this was one of the cheapest siren/strobes I could find, I didn't want to spend a lot of money for something like this but it does what I need it to do. Simple to use, loud enough for indoor and close proximity outdoor use. LEDs are bright enough for indoor or outdoor at dusk or darker. Using 9 volt degrades the volume of the siren, but I found some lithium 12 volt batteries that will fit into the device with a little modding. Just don't drop them onto a tile floor (personally found out, oops.). The housing appears to be strong plastic, but it explodes like a fragmentation grenade if dropped from about 3 feet onto a hard tile floor.

Worked as expected - loud and bright — very happy with value for the money. I put it outdoors but protected under the eaves of the house, to help get attention for an alarm system. Not loud like a big alarm system siren, but louder than a smoke alarm.

I got this buzzer to wire into a "fire alarm pull switch" which I installed in my son's outdoor playhouse. It works well, and even outside it can be heard even across the street !

It is made out of thin and cheap plastic. Not recommend for outdoor use.

I use it for my GSM relay. I think it is pretty easy to install and use. Very cheap and affordable. Do not expect much functionality from it.
