Q: What’s the thickness of it?

Plastic strips are 2mm (1/16 inch approx) thick

Q: How many individual plates are there?

Six plastic strips (each 20cm wide approx), a hanger for the top of each strip, two racks to attach to door frame (each 50cm wide approx).

Q: How small can these curtains be packaged? Will they fit into a carry on case for a flight (I plan to take them to our property abroad)

No problem. The clear hangings are easy because they can roll up. Your difficulty is the steel hanging bars at the top which secure onto the wall. However, they can be cut into sections which fit the maximum length allowed (check what that is) and fixed to the wall so the ends touch. Only downside is cutting the steel and drilling extra screwholes in it. Usually takes two supplied sections for a door width anyway (mine did)

Q: Can they be made to fit width of 850mm

You would only be able to use one of the curtain mounting strips which is 730 mm. wide. Depends how the doorway is situated, you maybe able to overlap or extend how you hook the curtain strip on
