Q: On iOS 16.5.1 app crashes on the device selection screen when there is a device in range.is there an update available?

As of June 26, the latest App Version available is 1.2 on the iOS App Store. Check the App Store and make sure it is updated to Version 1.2. If it is, there should be no issues.

Q: Is the calibration saved to nonvolatile memory? Can I remove the batteries for winter storage and have the calibration be saved?

All critical data is written to non-volatile memory and does not require the batteries to be installed for retention. Meaning, the data is stored on the device and will still be stored when batteries are removed. The following items will be held with or without batteries: Level calibration, Device name, Trailer geometry (Class, length, width), and Device install orientation. You can therefore even use another phone with the app downloaded, pair with your existing device, and it will still have all information stored on it.

Q: Would this work for a van?

Yes. Level the van, mount the unit, download the app. When you park it will tell you how far the level is off, front/back and left to right.

Q: Well this work for a truck camper?

I used it for a travel trailer but the app had a selection for using in a motorhome. I had to input measurements for my trailer width and length from axles to tongue. I would assume your truck camper could be programmed under the motorhome settings using your truck axle measurements.
