Taoke Phone & Tablet Holder for Phantom 3 Standard Remote Controller Suitable for 3.5-5.5 inch Mobile Phone and 7-10 inch Tablet

It has been awhile since receiving an order and being impressed way beyond expectations. This little holder is a well thought out and nicely machined accessory. Looking at the online assembled image was enough to put the pieces together and all the tools need are included. A refreshingly high quality product!

I bought a used Phantom 3 Standard, but it did not have the phone mount for the controller. So after searching, ran across this one. and it is perfect. I figured I would be adding a tablet in the future so wanted one that would do both the phone and tablet and this one fit both!Install was really straight forward even without instructions, I would have liked to have only 1 size screw head and need only 1 Allen key but that's just me. It is very sturdy and doesn't interfere with the antenna or the controls.

Initially you get all the parts and pieces and it looks good. But then after you assemble and install it you start wishing it was more… that it had… that it was made out of… The metal arms are fine but then you realize that the phone/tablet holder is made out of plastic. If your phone/tablet is anywhere near the maximum opening you’ll need to be very careful when seating it. I was using an iPhone 8 plus that I had laying around and the plastic was bending whenever I went to clamp my phone. The complete lack of instructions are just as bad. The pictures don’t show where one of the small washers go but I looked on a review of another product that looked identical to this one and the reviewer solved the mystery. It would have been great if The screws at each pivot point were able to tighten/lock the pivot. Instead it just holds the joint together. If you tilt your controller back the clamp just flops forward. Finally, the arm doesn’t lineup vertically so the tablet is slightly off kilter. It’s installed now and I don’t wanna go through the hassle of returning it and rolling the dice with another one. This will do but it certainly has been a learning experience on what to look for in similar products in the future.

Other than not including any type of documentation on how to assemble and mount it, it's perfect. You need to come back to the Amazon listing to see how to make it work, so not a good open option for a gift.Other that that, it is lightweight, strong as hell, and allows for the positioning of a cell phone or tablet in whatever way is best for the user. A definite must-have upgrade to the clip which comes with the drone.My Amazon Fire 7" tablet fits perfectly with the tension springs holding it snuggly, but not so tight as to cause damage. It's held well enough to carry the entire setup, controller and all, around just by holding the tablet.

Nice holder for my Samsung tablet. Very sturdy. You lose the ability to add the "leash" but it works with my larger external antenna.

If you’re looking for a solution that can provide a sturdy one for an iPhone or an iPad, look no further. Easy to install and it also accommodates the neck strap for the remote. Well made. Great design.

As is typical with these Chinese made gimmicks, one or two factories make millions of the identical product and a dozen or more sellers on Amazon sell them. Each proclaiming theirs is better.Problem is theyre cheap and poorly constructed.Says it will hold a 7 to 10 inch tablet.I purchased in the same shipment this tablet holder, a 2020 Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8 inch, a decent case for the tablet and other items for this setup.Installation is simple. The unit does not come with instructions but they are on the sellers ad. A 2 cent photocopy with parts list and instructions would be a good idea.Installed in a couple minutes. Have that one small steel bushing leftover that I cant find any reference to what it is for.put protective case on Tablet.Put tablet on new holder.adjusted holder for optimal view angle when flying.Grimaced as the tablet holder spit out the tablet and it fell to the table.Re-latched the tablet in holder. Picked up remote with tablet in it. Turned remote on...Pop! Tablet pops out of lower holder again. Falls to carpeted floor a few feet.Cleaned the brand new tablet case and mount on remote with rubbing alcohol to remove any possible grease or oils from handling/manufacturing, put tablet back into holder. Stood up and noted the tablet was loose...it has considerable lateral movement when using the remote as it is only attached at the tether strap loop. Easily an inch or more lateral movement when handling the remote, much less any front to back movement will result in the entire unit flipping forward completely and dumping the tablet straight out onto the ground.naturally the holder spit the tablet out once again.The lower mount is entirely too small for a tablet in a case of any kind. Had I bought the Otter box Defender it most certainly would not have fit at all. And even without a case it's grip is tentative at best, and DO NOT risk your $$$ tablet/iPad in this unit without some type of secondary retention method.Cheaply made with inferior parts. I don't expect it will last long at all before a spring breaks or a cheap plastic part explodes into a bazillion pieces, probably while thousands of dollars of Drone is in the air, dropping your Tablet or iPad to the ground.If the upper and lower clamps were just 1/4 to 1/2 inch taller, this would be a home run.2 stars.Really poorly designed.

Works better than the stock holder.
