I also have the storage lids for these Ball Mason Jars. In this 2-cup size jar I store sauces that I've made, like hoisin sauce for szechuan beef, I freeze single servings of spaghetti sauce in the 2-cup jar, just enough for me when I eat alone, I make creme fraiche for cooking and store in this 2-cup jar. You could make a cocktail in it and shake it, the lids do not leak. I also have the quart jars with both storage lids and the drinking lids with spout for getting that quart of water down each day. Only problem is finding space to store them all in my small kitchen. In the fridge they take up height space instead of width space on the shelf so I can get more in the fridge which is always welcome. Funny thing is - I have never canned anything. I save the canning lid that comes with the jar, use it sometimes, but I buy the separate storage lids & drinking spout lids. I wish the lids were cheaper, I have a bunch, costly, and my one complaint is that you cannot buy the sealing ring separately, if you should lose the ring, you have to buy the whole lid again. Clearly that's to make more money and it's not customer-friendly but not offensive enough to drive me elsewhere. I do recommend these jars.

The embossed design on the jars adds a nice spark to gifts. We made mango-peach jam and used these jars for gifts to friends and relatives. They look so nice.
