Incredible
This is what I was looking for.Comfort: Excellent. 90° rotation.Acoustic: you don't hear almost anything from the outside, just a little. You're inside the music.Construction: Even everything is plastic, its well made, solid and looks durable.Monitoring: you can use "one shoulder" for monitoring with these babies.Sound quality: Guys, this is JAPAN, they know what they do. Clear mids and bright highs, dont expect a massive bass, this headphones won't add any colour to your sound (the way I like), so the way you hear it, they way it plays in the PA, so, you won't hear a massive punchy bass, you will hear a clear bass which represents what the PA will put out to the crowd (if any)Cables: two cables. One for the iphone/ipad with volume controls and the other for the mixer/monitoring. Of course, different cables/plug sizes, well constructed both with some gold in the plugs. You won't be sorry for this excellent headphone =)

Really good quality price ratio, recommended for djing, not so shure for the studio or high end audio.
This phones are quite good. I cannot give them 5 stars just because I feel they lack a bit of high tones compared with some pairs of Shure or AKG that I like. Anyway if you are using this just for DJing, they are quite good, and that lack of highs could be a good issue. Very good isolation, flat response, good bass and very high volume without distortion. I compared them with one that I love the most, the Pioneer HDJ2000, and yes, Pioneer sounds a little bit better, and they are half the weight of the Technics, but, they cost 3 times!. Another thing that I like is that they are made in Japan. I would recommend this headphones to anybody on the dj industry, not so shure for the studio or high end audio.

Different then anticipated-better!
Got used but they look brand new! They fit amazingly comfortable, and sound great. The bass isn't powerful like many modern headphones but that's not necessarily good. These have a very accurate reproduction of sound. Highly recommend especially with jazz, and classical because the sound becomes so full rich and expansive and beautiful. Great with EDM as well, which I am a great fan of. The higher quality the music the more you will appreciate these headphones (ie. less static and more detail)

Good sound, poor construction
I used these headphones both for DJing and for video editing, the sound is clear and consistent. My gripe is the construction of the flip-able ear cups - both the left and right sides have broken while I was trying to move them around to fit my head better. When the first side broke, I used duct tape to affix them. Punk rock, no? But for this price, and after only two months of use, that's pretty lame. When the second side broke it then became impossible to correct with duct tape.Additionally, my ears would get very sore from the pressure of the cups. Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of Panasonic/Technic products, but for the price of these headphones I should not have to duct tape them or replace them after 6-7 months of use! I should also add that in both instances the headphones broke under light ware. Buyer beware.

Pretty damn good, but with at least one major flaw...
This item just arrived and I am trying it out now. Here are my initial impressions. Updates will follow if my opinion of them changes any with time.Look and feel:These headphones feel nice on my head. As they come, they have more inward-pressure than I'd like and after an hour or so of wearing them, my head began to hurt. I recommend fitting them on the outside of the box in which they came the night you first get them (using the 4" portion of the box, not the 7-1/4" side.) Chances are the 4" portion of the box is thinner than your head, so while it will ease their shape into putting less pressure on you, they probably won't get so bent-out that they start falling off during use either. The leather earpieces are comfortable on my ears and the color scheme is mostly attractive. There is maybe just a bit too much silver in the silver/black ratio for my taste and I will probably mod these with a can of good-quality black spraypaint to give them a slightly darker look. I was expecting the headband to be a little more of an even curve, but I think they're made this way to prevent excessive pressure on the crown of the head (which has also given me headaches before.) I am not thrilled with the very obvious branding and will probably find a way to either remove or paint-over the brand name on the top. I am not a source of free advertising, and I certainly am not paying anyone so I can carry their logo around.Sound:I appreciate that these don't seem to "lean" in one direction or the other in terms of the EQ-band. They're not made for those people whose philosophy is "BASS!! GIVE ME LOTS OF BASS!! And when the bass can't get any louder, GIVE ME MORE BASS!! And when the amount of bass starts to dissolve the cellular structure of my brain, then GIVE ME MORE BASS!!!!" These are much more deserving of the label "audiophile quality," which is just as well because the box says they were designed for audiophiles and these were recommended to me by a DJ who loves her set. My audio player, a FiiO X5, has a 10-band EQ. If I want to hear more of something or other in the sound, I can get it for myself. The ranges also have good separation - meaning I can hear the mids and highs clearly even when the bass is heavy in a song. If I had one gripe about the sound of these, it's that I can hear a bit of what seems to be static or distortion in my heavier songs. I just gave up on the SkullCandy Hesh2's I was trying-out for this reason and was hoping to escape the syndrome with a more expensive, professional quality set of headphones. The static is *not* tremendous in these, but I still notice it and that bugs me. This happens even when the EQ preset in my audio player is set to "flat/off." I would like to make it known, though, that I qualify this with "... a bit of what I THINK is static or distortion" because I'm not positive that it's the headphones, and not lazy mastering on the part of the sound engineers of the bands in question which I could never hear before because I didn't have a high-quality audio player or a set of headphones that reproduced sound so vividly. I am also not sure that it won't go away as the headphones' internal structure naturally adapts to the kinds of sounds coming through them. Still, the sound is very balanced, vivid, crisp and clear, and I'm generally pleased with it.Bells & whistles:My most major issue with these headphones so far is the headphone jack. It's made with this locking mechanism that keeps the INCLUDED CABLES from getting accidentally yanked-out. While I'm sure a lot of people will appreciate that, these were NOT designed for those of us who want to buy a special, high-quality male-to-male auxiliary cable specifically for our headphones. Any of those which is not impractically thin at the end will not even reach the place where the 3.5mm connection is made, and for this reason, my first thought was "dear gods, I cannot possibly get this obnoxious thing out of the headphone jack fast enough!!" I managed to carve it out with an exact-o blade and solved the problem. But the point is, making things like this so that the customer has no choice but to buy your highly fallible rubber cable to replace the first highly fallible rubber cable that broke or wore out is seriously uncool. Now, a user-removable locking mechanism which clicks into and out of place fairly easily at your choosing, would have been a completely different matter.Overall three out of five stars. This would be an excellent piece of hardware, but the cable problems are like a really impractical capitalist-greed-driven slap in the face to me, and almost defeat the whole purpose of having bought them in my case. I don't pay $90+ for headphones so I can have my hands tied like that.

Years and years of heavy use, still fantastic audio
I have bought two pairs of these for DJing. The first ones have lasted 6 years, and are still in like-new condition despite traveling all over the world and being put through hell at one gig or another. The second pair were purchased as a gift for a friend who is starting out spinning records, and these are 100% the best sounding and most well-made headphones out there. They last forever, sound great, and for the price point I would never buy anything else. Plenty of base, clear, crisp sound, built to last.

One Star
Great sound, lousy build. They break from several places, mostly around the swivel joints. Don't buy.
