Incredible!
I didn't really know what to expect, having never attempted brewing kefir before, but these grains are producing 2 large containers of kefir every 24 hours or so and the 2nd ferment is very fizzy after another 24 hours. The grains have multiplied and expanded to about 5 times the size or more in less than a week! I'm not sure whether I just continue with them as is or try to give some away. I'm worried I won't be feeding them enough!I started with 4 dessert spoons of sugar dissolved in a bit of water and the rest with coconut water with a handful of sultanas from day 1. They seem to love it. The resultant drink is slightly fruity, slightly tangy and slightly alcoholic tasting! Lovely if you don't like things too sweet, like me.

May take a while to get going!
I'm quite surprised I've only had these 5 weeks, feels like much longer 😂. So, have had these 5 weeks and have been feeding and refreshing sugar water every two days (ish) and covering with a fabric hankie over the top secured with an elastic band, they've had a bit time out in the fridge, and I've played about with quantities, timings etc. I use boiled water and leave it out (apparently let's the chlorine evaporate)To be honest, I'm not 100% sure I know what I'm doing with them, i keep tasting the water and I think it's still quite sweet (I don't drink fizzy drinks or much diluting juice, so possibly a taste bud thing) , rather than 'fermented', so I keep googling to see if I've killed them. This week I stumbled across a recipe that said add minerals such as liquid minerals, salt, and egg shell and use an anaerobic jar. So I added a little salt (no eggshell available so will try that next time) and put a lid on, and there definitely is alot more activity and a definite change in smell and taste (not unpleasant but definitely different).Drank the water once, a few weeks ago with some blitzed up blueberries. Not sure I noticed any taste of the kefir, and obviously not a regular enough production yet to see any health benefits. Maybe the kefir weren't ready. So I am keen to see how it is with the new recipe.Overall, Worth persevering with and trying different techniques and methods, worth researching and getting a method that works for you, just be aware it may take much longer than a couple of fresh rounds of sugar water so don't dispair. The first 'ferment' I did was ginger bug which took about 4/5 weeks to get started and now lives quite happily between the fridge and the kitchen bunker. Hoping my little grains get to that point too.

The taste!
When I did this for the first time and smell it I was so sceptical because the smell was so strange, but when I tasted it OMG what a surprise. It tastes better 48h after you do it but the longer to leave it there the sourer the flavour becomes so is not that good after this timeline. Now if it does good to the gut? To be honest I cannot tell. Did not notice any particular difference in anything (my acne, my gut movements), so I cannot tell if this product does what it says. However, I will still continue to buy it because is a good drink to have with meals (instead of water or sugar fruit juices).

From 20g to 205g in under 2 weeks!
I ordered 20g of fresh Water Kefir. I have had water kefir before but it was somewhat lacklustre so I replaced it with this. WOW! In just over 4 rotations this kefir has increased from 20g to 205g. It is very active, gives a lovely fizz and if you follow the instructions and use 750ml to 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp black molasses you can't go wrong. Obviously as the grains increase so does your volume of water/sugar ratio. Extremely good value for money and your gut health.

Arrived dead
I'm not stone-cold new to water kefir, and have made made tasty bottles this summer before doing something silly (tried straight mango juice) and killed my existing guys. So I tried this supplier since it was from Kombuchaorganic that I also got my milk kefir grains-- and they are spectacular. No problems whatsoever after about three months or so.Of course I followed instructions to the letter, and gave them a fair shake over the best part of a week or so, but no dice!!Why sis I switch from the other vendor of the water keffir grains? #1 because Kombuchaorganic's milk grains are great, and #2 they were offering 40g instead of ten for the same price. Maybe these guys died in transit? Who knows, but I'm not super-pleased, as you might imagine.

Didn’t work that well…
A bit of a fad… tryed it a few times but soon got bored of it… only flavoured by what you put in it - not good in its own!
