No-Till Farm and Garden Cover Crop Mix Seeds - 1 Lbs - Blend of Gardening Cover Crop Seeds: Hairy Vetch, Daikon Radish, Forage Collards, Triticale, More

I turned an entire section of my yard (zone 8a) into a garden with the dirt I removed from another project in the yard. Covered this section with these seeds in January and by May 1st, with very little tending to, it’s reached nearly 3 ft of growth! Two types of peas, collards (thought was broccoli), mustard, and wheat are thriving. Haven’t noticed any radish growth but could be hiding under it all. Maybe would absolutely buy again!

I use this in the fall for cover crops in my raised beds to keep them from growing dormant over the winter. Makes the beds look good over the winter months then I till the cover crops over in my beds and it enriches the soil for Spring and Summer crops.

I received an email from Amazon asking me to review this, although I just received it two days ago so I will update once it's been a bit longer.This was packaged well and I received it very quickly. I am new at gardening but have read a lot about cover crops for new gardens and figured it would be worth a shot on my new, empty, dirt lot yard. The ground was extremely dry and dense (the previous owners had used the yard as parking). I have noticed already that this mix is sprouting already so I am impressed with their hardiness. I may have spread the seeds a little too densely, as this did not cover even close to the 600 sq feet the package implied. Will update with photos once they start growing more.

Arrived quickly. Seed variety looks great. Too early to tell what the results will be.

I haven't heard any complaints

The media could not be loaded.  To start, I consider myself at least an intermediate gardener, but I have never done cover crops before.I sprinkled the seeds before a Good rain, back in August/september. I am done outside for the year, so I am rarely outside in the field area. I do not water it, or tend to it in anyway.It came up very fast, and I can’t get over how BEAUTIFUL it is!! I didn’t know cover crops could be pretty. They are soooo green, and SOFT. I would lay in it if it was warm!You can see the color my grass normally is in my yard, the crop is a pop of green in comparison.I am a micro flower farm so in spring I plan on mowing it down for flowers. I can tell already that it’s going to make a huge difference in the quality of my soil and plants!

I like the mix for cover crop, but the seeding rate really underestimates the amount needed for good coverage. I used twice as much as suggested and still had marginal coverage despite great germination. I was being frugal and only wanted to buy what I needed. I will order double next time. Also, stated ratio of grasses to legumes to brassicas was or in proportion to the package. There was far less grass seed than listed on the label. Overall, I still have a good cover crop.

Great value for 1lb of seeds. 1st picture is 2 days growth, 2nd is 1 weeks worth of growth (not the same plot). Pleased with the amount and type of seeds.
