OK., I like to read interesting articles or stories but I CANNOT for the life of me read textbooks. I NEVER read manuals or instructions. However, I was taking a computer- aided class and needed to start working on my portfolio so I bought this book. OMG! This book SAVED MY LIFE!!! I am not exaggerating how helpful this book is. I would have been stuck for countless hours, wrestling with Illustrator. Another huge point I need to make is that I have A.D.D. which may be the reason why I always find myself confused and frustrated when I am following a book with instructions. Unlike every other book that drives me insane, I am amazed at how much I can follow and understand the steps shown in this book. The author is clear, informative, to-the-point, and includes just the right amount of humor to help us through our learning process. This book gave me hope that there are books out there that I can follow. Other than how clear and easy-to-follow this book is, it is filled with cool tricks and shortcuts you can use on Illustrator. Even for those who are already in the industry using photoshop/illustrator, this book is a MUST-HAVE!

This is an amazing book that teaches you Illustrator CS5 at any level, beginning to advanced. Clear, easy to follow step by step directions walk you through your creative process and make retaining the information so much simpler. It almost doesn't feel like you are reading a book, but rather having a teacher standing there to help you navigate your way from Ctrl A to Ctrl Z. Having this book have made my life infinitely easier and made creating croquis and spec sheets a breeze.

This book saved my butt so many times !!!!!! When it 2 going on 4 in the morning and I got a project due at 8 AM. When I freaking out and don't know what to do next .I take two deep breaths and reach for this book and i get the project done with in hours and not days. No longer I am stuck for hours trying to figure out this or that . Or if I have everything that I need on my boards. The books is my lifesaver. I just hope there's more is many more to come!!!!!!

Written by a teacher, this is the most straight forward and easy to follow instruction manual to drawing flats on the market today. Not only are the directions clear and concise but the author is always willing to help. If you have a problem just post on her facebook page "Adobe for Fashion" and she'll get back to you in no time. AMAZING!!! I can't say enough about the book or author.
