Rotary tool
I need one to drill holes in some drift wood , this works well, it comes in a case and has lots of accessories, it’s not to noisy. This can be used for many things , grinding, cutting , buffing etc, bought this to replace the one I had before the price was very reasonable and I definitely recommend it

Not perfect, but great bang for your buck
So I bought this actually around 2020. I’ve been using this for about 3 years and love doing carvings with them. The drill itself is still running very well. With it being 3 years, I am noticing that when I go to loosen a bit to change it though, the plastic at the seem is starting to slowly split apart. It’s still fine but not sure how much longer it’s going to last. I got it for under $30 though so for the 3 years nearly 4 now, less than $10 a year is such a steal for this tool. The actual tool has been phenomenal and I can go hours (so far longest carve was 5 hours straight) with no issues. After a few hours the vibrations do wear on the hand a little bit again, that’s hours of use so I’m not complaining. That’s also without the flex shaft attachment. That being said I want to give FULL disclosure on the flaws I have seen. The first problem is the bits are pretty bad. The worst and most dangerous is the one to screw on small blades for cutting. It worked perfectly to cut the door wire to my van when the sliding door motor went out and we couldn’t close the door, but after that, I don’t use the cutter because now the small blades will LITERALLY fly off of it like the screw used to hold the blade on is just too weakened now. The sandpaper bits have never held on the rubber part either. The other problem I had, and maybe it is just a me problem for carving so long in one sitting, but first time using the flex shaft I melted a hole right through it after an hour and half of use. The crazy thing is though, the wolf carving you see in that picture was done holding the entire tool in my hand with no flex shaft, that’s how easy it is to keep control of the tool and how precise it can be as it is light weight AND I did that in a 5 hour sitting no stopping. Literally everything else though is really great though if you want to carve, these ARE NOT THE BITS YOU WANT. That being said it’s compatible with all dremel bits pretty much and with $9.99 at Home Depot I’ve picked up the perfect bits to go with the high quality tool. In summary, for the money the TOOL ITSELF is so worth it. The bits are pretty garbage BUT again, spend a little on some high quality bits that will last a life time for like $10 and you cover the problem all together. I think of it as I’m paying dirt cheap for a quality tool and can spend the insane money I saved on high quality bits. Just don’t expect much of all the attachments it gives you is all I’m saying.

Great Product, Great Support.
The unit has many options for attachments/usages and comes with a quality carrying case for keeping everything organized and in place. Works extremely well and I foresee much use out of it. I was missing a pc. and the product support team was quick to react and send the piece, very helpful along the way. Thank you

Wow... the "real" thing.
The tool is very impressive. What is most impressive is the operation manual. Reading through what I thought I've read through umpteen times, I was impressed with their "safety" part. This is a super dangerous tool... and they have explained situations I have and always experience... and you can get hurt! They've done a very good job pointing out what I have experienced with other tools who have the "power" to get the job done... with a "smile".This one easily is the match for the leader on the market... name withheld. My favorite color too. Pay attention to the long read about what this tool will do under certain situations. Yep, this one is the bomb. Excellent job. Your attempt at explaining the safety got me to stop right then and right this up. I read reviews... so I must contribute when it's like now...Just used it and Wow.

Great Product and Customer Service
The first one that arrived the extension pin sheared off some metal shavings the third time I used it. I was able to return it and a new one arrived within days. I've had zero issues with the replacement item and it's used daily in my job as a dog groomer for trimming nails.

Saw blades Suck
I bought this to specificly to use for cutting. The saw blades snap in your had they are so cheap n thin. The tool its self seems good for the price tho. But if u want it to cut buy a better blade. O was trying to cut a peg board to size.

My Mistake
Around a week ago I wrote a review that was unfavorable to Avid because of a bad switch and my inability to contact them. It was my fault! I wasn't using the format that Avid has for reaching customer service. I finally did it right and since then I've been totally satisfied with the Customer Service. Great tool, easy to use and totally satisfied with it. Even more important....GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! And yes, I have a new switch.

Good tool, not bits
The tool is really sturdy and works amazingly. HOWEVER, the bits are of rather low quality and break easily. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THE CUTOFF BITS!!! They break apart instantly and shoot sharp fragments everywhere. You could honestly get seriously hurt from those. I would reccomend getting a different bit set but overall, great for the money!

Not bad
The machine itself works grbut the equipment that comes with it is very very poor quality... The cutting disk's brake every time you cut something The Wire brush has already worn out with one use And the drill bits just get dull after the first try.. So it's good to have the machine but if you need other materials I suggest looking for better quality..
