This fire pit was one of the best purchases for our camping trips. It’s incredibly lightweight, folds down into a compact carry bag, and takes only a couple of minutes to set up and pack away. The mesh design provides great airflow, helping the fire burn efficiently with very little fuss. It gave off plenty of heat and created a lovely atmosphere around the campsite in the evenings. Being raised off the ground also helped keep the area tidy and protected the grass underneath. The included gloves are a useful addition, and the overall build quality feels much better than I expected for the price. After several uses it’s still in great condition. Brilliant bit of kit for camping, garden gatherings, or beach fires where permitted. Highly recommended!

Pros: very compact, incredibly easy to set up. The mesh is magic, it doesn't conduct heat, so it was cool to touch other than directly below the fire. A bit of ash sifted through the mesh, but it mostly stayed in place or blew away in the wind. Very easy clean up. Far sturdier than expected! Cons: I could only get two clips (included) through the holes to fix the mesh in place. They didn't seem sturdy, anyway, so I used U shaped stakes instead, which worked perfectly (and also fit easily in the bag).

I’ve taken this every weekend for the last 4 weeks to Northampton sailing club because they are strict about zero open fires!! I should say tighten the little bolts holding the 4 x fixed central poles before you use it- but it’s been great. My wife’s South African and always has to have a beachwood, deadwood , kiln dried logs etc at least as a campfire each night for the s’mores and to keep the bugs away. It takes two minutes to set up and the micro stainless steel mesh means only the dust ash is released below and is blown away so there’s no evidence you even had a big wood fire even on grass which is what sites want !. I’ve used it on beaches also anywhere that doesn’t allow ground based fires !! IE. Most beaches and campsites as the ground is dry most summers in the U.K. Mine arrived with one of the little 4x nuts missing, so send me some replacements after this review please manufacturer. Although for £15 I’m actually going to buy a second one next week and keep it for when this one eventually dies. Packed in a large pencil cased sized bag including heatproof gloves , I stick it in the door pocket of the car and the lad and I have enjoyed some cozy nights out paddle boarding with it. Please contact me manufacturers because I have a few simple ideas to make this product perfect and it’s already pretty good as it is!

When this arrived I took it out of the box and felt extremely dubious. It packs away into a tiny bag, it could easily be used for backpacker camping. It did take some staring hard at the instructions and working out which way round things went the first time I put it up, but after you've done it once it's really simple. Obviously it doesn't produce a massive fire pit, nonetheless all the usual rules and common sense around open fires should be followed. If you're burning wood the ash doesn't build up in it too much, so you can keep the fire going for quite a while. If you're wanting to toast marshmallows or anything be careful - if they fall off and land on it it's not easy to clean off the burnt on sugar. I think this is incredibly good value for money - it's just a nice focal point for an evening outside and keeps the chill off.
