Blonde Espresso

This coffee was not expensive at all, but I did spend a little more on it. It's terrific, very creamy smooth and not burnt. I'm happy that burnt coffee beans are falling out of favor because they're just disgusting. So what can I say, this is tasty stuff.

These beans are so underrated. I use a Breville espresso machine and pulling a double shot gives me serious Bianco Doppio vibes. I love my coffee black and typically make a single cup each morning just for myself, as my wife doesn't drink coffee. I am always searching for a lighter roasted coffee with a good flavor profile, as I love the taste of good fresh coffee, but I also want the higher polyphenol count that you get from a lightly roasted coffee. Some light roast are also light on flavor though... As you can see in the picture, the color is light, but cloudy since I brewed this in a french press. The complexity is great, with citrus and sweet notes while still retaining the nutty and toasty flavors typical with a light roast. Even brewed in a french press, this coffee is light-bodied and doesn't leave any lingering bitterness on the tongue. In fact, even when I sip a little of the sediment typical with a french press brew I am not tasting any bitterness. So, that tells me this is a fresh coffee. I was pleasantly surprised by this coffee and even happier to learn that it is roasted in Austin Texas as I live in San Antonio, so I can always get a new shipment quickly. Not sure if they have a shop in Austin, but I will definitely check into to it the next time I travel there. I only wish they had a decafe option so I could send some to a good friend of mine who is a coffee lover as well, but has been told by his doctors that he should only drink decafe. It is hard to find good options in that space.

Very smooth and low acid. A bit light in taste but overall good for those who don’t want an acidic dark coffee.

The coffee is great but the delivery is a 2 weeks later and it’s postponed 2 times!!! Will be looking to find a more reliable vendor.

Have been buying this coffee for years. The Blonde Espresso. Was always excellent and a wonderful deal. Lately, the packaging has been changed assumedly to lower their costs. A bit of a pain but not a huge deal. The BIG problem is that the quality of the product itself has completely tanked. This coffee used to be very mild, smooth, with an amazing flavor for the price. Now, even the blonde roast is undrinkable and bitter! Would not recommend! We have a bi-weekly subscription for this product that I will unfortunately be cancelling. Need to find a new coffee. I hope that someday they will realize what they’ve done and make the appropriate corrections. Until then, we’re out!
