Additional iron in pregnancy
At the time of this review, you can get a box of these active iron capsules and tablets for around £22 My daughter is heavily pregnant and a recent blood test showed her iron levels are really low. I have ordered these for her, but she will be taking them to her medical professional beforehand The box contains 30 capsules and 30 tablets The active iron content is 25mg Directions for you say it’s for women pre-during and post pregnancy including breastfeeding take one capsule of active iron and one complete time release multivitamin tablet daily with water or fruit juice So this is clearly a 30 day supply A quick bit of arithmetic will tell you that it’s around 73 pence per day Produced in the EU ( Ireland ) If you’re thinking about buying some, I will definitely seek medical advice before taking any supplements. If you’re pregnant, I hope this review was helpful.

Could be better
Get the high iron from your midwife if you have low iron levels; These just don't pack the punch needed to get your iron levels back up. Maybe ok if you just want to maintain a level.

Its Okay
I have been using Active Iron Pregnancy for a while now, and I’m quite impressed with its formulation and overall benefits. This supplement provides nutritional support for prenatal care and foetal development, combining 30 iron capsules (25 mg each) with 30 triple-layer multivitamin tablets, ensuring a balanced intake of essential nutrients. What I Like: ✅ Gentle on the Stomach – Unlike many other iron supplements, Active Iron is designed to be easier on digestion. I’ve experienced no nausea or constipation, which is a common issue with iron tablets. ✅ Comprehensive Nutritional Support – The multivitamin includes key pregnancy nutrients like folic acid, vitamin D, and B vitamins, alongside iron, to support both mother and baby. ✅ Easy to Take – The two-tablet system makes it straightforward to get the right nutrients without having to juggle multiple supplements. Potential Drawbacks: ⚠️ Tablet Size – The multivitamin tablet is slightly larger than I’d prefer, though still manageable with water. ⚠️ Price – It’s a bit on the higher end compared to some other prenatal supplements, but the quality and stomach-friendly formulation justify the cost. Final Verdict: Overall, Active Iron Pregnancy is an excellent choice for expectant mothers looking for a high-quality, well-absorbed iron supplement with additional vitamins for prenatal health. It’s particularly great for those who struggle with digestive discomfort from standard iron tablets. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable prenatal supplement.
