Much sturdier and better built than I expected
Reviews helped a lot in my search for a first mountain board for my 10 year-old. Purchased this one before xmas and arrived very quickly to pa. Much sturdier and better built than I expected. Wheels and trucks are decent, although he hasn't gone crazy yet because of the weather. All in all a very good buy for a beginner board

Wow! What-a-deal!
One of my first reviews but I have to say I am extremely please with this board! I am 6'-2" and about 165lbs and this board is like seriously industrial grade. Bindings, axles and deck all seem top notch. I bought it specifically for kite powered landboarding and it is spot on but now I find myself scoping out grassy hills to go get some mountain boarding runs in as well. Another thing I want to mention is I like how the bottom is a blank canvas so I can make it look how I want to with custom graphics. San Diego Speed is also a great seller, awesome packaging and shipping times. Very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend this board to anyone looking to get into the sport!UPDATE: 12-31-13OK, so after a lot of downhill runs everywhere I could find I still love this board, however, I'm removing a star due to the fact I am almost certain this is not a board for adults. I didn't see anywhere in the description noting this but as I got more comfortable riding it I started with some small flat land jumps over ice chests and 180s etc. which the board held up fine. My first actual jump was down about a 3-4' drop into a pretty aggressive slope and soon as I landed the board snapped under my weight. This saddens me because I was having so much fun with it. I suggest if you plan on getting serious about this sport go ahead and dish out the extra $60 to get a board that will last. I say this because a new deck is going to cost you at least $120 for something decent and I found decks to be just as much as their "complete" counter-parts.CONCLUSION:This is a great board for a kids or someone who doesn't see themselves trying to get air or advancing past basic downhill runs with minimal jumps. Again a great board but know what you plan on doing with it or it will let you down.

How to roll this board.
I have this board, good beginner board. First things first, remove the stupid foot brackets: worthless. I run my dog with this board, great because gravel dont throw your @ss on to the ground. I have no love for longboards or regular skateboards (my knees are destroyed)after riding this contraption. well worth the money if you use it occasionaly. Feels like snowboarding not skating, but hell i can ride down dirt trails onto gravel, then grass back to asphalt.

PERFECT
I purchased this since I have a large husky who loves to pull during our walks. I decided that since he loves to pull so much, why not let him take me on walks / runs? I don't need to lose any calories anyway. I use a harness and a leash and he just pulls away. I received it in good time and great condition. Obviously, the more air in the tires, the easier it will be for you to gain speed (it also makes it easier for my dog to pull me, even on grass). For the price, this is my most favorite amazon purchase. My dog is exhausted for the rest of the day after pulling me on this thing in the morning. *Note: I don't advise you to have your dog pull you on concrete or asphalt since it seems to tear up their paw pads.*

Cool your jets
I got a beef with people who write reviews poorly. They're those shmucks who think if one part sucks, the whole thing sucks. And its because of them, I almost didn't purchase this. But I said, "What the heck!" and did it anyway. Have I regretted it? No.To let you know what's up, I'm going to give you my dimensions. I'm 5' 6" and 165 pounds. When I stand on this board, directly in the middle, it flexes and sags a couple of inches. Does this mean that the wood is cheap? Nope. It's mountain boarding, the board does in fact need to flex. I bounce around on that thing all the time doing grabs, its fine. No snap, no problem. The wheels, don't seem to have any trouble carrying my weight and are easy to inflate. I don't plan on keeping them forever and will some day replace them. I've actually come to terms with the fact that they may break, that's the inherent risk with a sport like this one. I also ride an MBS Core board, on plastic wheels which, someday, will break. It happens. The trucks could use some better bushings, but that's a small investment and deals a lot with rider preference, however, I did find the polished look of the trucks to be a little "Wal-Marty".My biggest issue with this board is the binding hooks which stab into my feet in the canvas shoes that I wear. But that's my own fault. The fact of the matter is, I payed a modest amount of money for this board, and I got what I paid for. So far, its been a rather enjoyable experience. I don't yet have to upgrade anything, but I wouldn't classify this under things I wish I didn't buy.
