Bombshell ...not a bomb
I will say that I had high hopes for this call. My goal was to give my sons and wife a call that would be easy to operate and give dependable results. The call is actually larger than you may think from its pictures. Its not going to just fit in the palm of your hand, it overflows. The trigger on the top, when depressed makes acceptable hen calls. It seems to be favoring the more subtle calls, purrs, and clucks. The cutting sound was not dependable using the plunger. I found that by using the pull string (included) that I was able to improve the cuts and yelp sounds. BUT... this is a quiet call. If you are looking to use this in your arsenal as a swiss army knife of calls, you will be disappointed. If you are looking for a call that you can operate subtly when the long beards are nearing shooting range, this is the ticket. I havent used this in the field yet, season is still several weeks away. I plan on mounting this on the shotgun and using it to coax the toms in closer in combination with my mouth call. I will still use box calls and pots for reaching out over distances to bring them in.Hunt safe, and best of luck collecting a bird this year.

Broke it several times
My 6 y.o. could make good calls with it. My 20 month old broke it 3 times in 2 weeks. I don't know what he did, but it took all I had to fix it. The 3rd time I threw it away before we went hunting.I took it apart and my toddler broke part of the plastic when he threw it down (probably because he didn't want a diaper?). Clearly not bombproof or even toddler proof. Pretty easy for a 6 y.o. to make good basic calls with. Not a bombshell, but a fun transition for a kid.

Great call with one MAJOR flaw .....
This is the second one of these I’ve purchased, but not because they are so good.Pros1. This really is a great call and I’ve used it to pull in turkeys from more than 1000 yards away.2. This call is super easy to use. I mean anyone can use it without much skill.Cons1. It doesn’t last. Seriously, I used it a lot over the week and found myself adjusting the tightness often as it loosened up. It broke after the weeks use.I did like it enough to buy another, but I hope this one lasts.

Very good call
Very realistic sounds and easy to use for all ages youth to adults. I was skeptical because I lost my slate, but I called in birds on the first hunt. It is ideal when hunting alone and you do not want to make a lot of movement when calling them in close. It can also be turned off to be silent when slipping through the woods.

Pretty good. Only one small issue
Just got mine. So far it looks and sounds good. Only thing that isnt very good is the strap that they give you to mount on the barrel. Cheap Stretchy velcro band that i fear will come undone and lose it in woods. Need to find something to replace that but other than that it should get the job done

Disappointing
I tried to pass my comments along to Primos using their web page. However it seems that to do that you must join the site which I have no intention of doing. My opinion is that the call sound quality is good and the volume is more than adequate especially when used to call a turkey in a little bit closer for the shot.I purchased this unit the intention of barrel mounting it for the final call in. I opened it in camp and found it impossible to mount to the barrel using the Velcro patches and elastic band that came with the unit. First because the patches were so loosely attached to the elastic that they fell off. I don't believe the arrangement could even have held a postage stamp never mind the caller. Second the band seems so narrow compared to the unit length that I wonder if it really could prevent the unit from bouncing around during travel and use. My feeling is that either a wider band or a second band is needed.I give this one star only because that is the lowest allowed. The barrel mount technique reminds me of the low quality Japanese products from the late fifties - made both cheaply and poorly. I can not comment on how well the unit holds up because I did not use it in the field. Hopefully it would hold up better than the barrel mounting feature. Now that I am back home I will devise some better way to secure the unit to the gun barrel.

Very good sound
This thing is fantastic. Was hunting in the rain and my slate calls got wet so I tried this. It sounds just as good as my slate calls! Perfect for low yelps and purrs when you're walking in the noon time.

Easy and practical to use...not bulky
So easy to use right away. With a little practice you can refine your call. I no longer use a box call...this one is quieter to handle. Just not sure how long it will maintain its tone.

Best value turkey call
This call is amazing. The variety of sounds you can make with it is surprising. It can be locked, strapped to your shotgun and your good to go as it won't make noise when walking and it's very light so you won't feel it's there. If I were to only have one turkey call it would most likely be this one although It would probably be wise to combine it with either a mouth call or a slate call.

Easy to use and small enough to carry in your pocket. There are other Turkey calls that work better and sound better but this is compact and no reason why it won't do what it's supposed to do. Have not used it as yet.
