Cast iron pan
Bought to use in air fryer oven. Was too big, kept to use camping, haven’t yet, but am sure it will work great.

Thick, heavy duty small skillet
Small heavy duty cast iron. It's my first cast iron pan but I wish I got the ones without the lines because cleaning would be much simpler. I am still learning how to maintain it. The rubber handles it came with were useless as they didn't fit handles properly enough to stay on. Only used it once for steak but it came out great.

Why buy other skillets when iron skillets last a lifetime.
Fun fact: The 1st known use of cast iron cookware was during the Han Dynasty in China around 220 AD.I've been cooking with iron skillets and pots since I was young. Perhaps 8 or 9. Over the years I've added different non-stick and various types but eventually they need to be replaced. What has never needed to be replaced are the iron skillets etc. Most of mine were once my grandmothers and 3 were originally my great-grans. This skillet has been used numerous times since bought in February and it cooks just as well as my older ones.Iron quick tips - Season periodically & preheat before cooking.

Well made pan, but Lodge Scrapers don't fit
The Peak Rous Cast Iron Square Griddle (with ribs) is a well made cast iron pan at a great price. I had wanted a ribbed griddle to use inside when the weather didn't permit grilling. This pan fits the bill. The finish on the pan was smooth...at least as good as the high priced market leader's. Because I have an induction stove, I was concerned about scratching, so I spun the pan around on a piece of glass, and there were no marks or scratches. Although the pan was preseasoned, I did coat it with oil and bake it at 350F, twice, to build up a non-stick finish. It works well. I bought the Lodge grill scrapers that Amazon pairs with this pan, but the notches are a different size from the Peak Rous pan's ribs, so the scrapers are worthless. Save your money, and season the pan well so food doesn't stick. I recommend the Peak Rous ribbed griddle.

If you are buying for the handles, then keep on scrolling.
I was looking for a cast iron grill pan for cooking steaks. I saw several I liked but I bought this one in particular for the red silicon handles that came with it. First use, I love the size and it was searing perfect grill marks on the stove. Then, I get the silicon handles to lift the pan to the oven. I burnt the fingerprints off my fingers and had to have assistance to finish Christmas dinner. Needless to say, it was quite the damper to the meal. It was the main selling point of this particular pan for me. I probably would have bought a different one if it wasn’t for them. I will keep the pan and continue to use. However I wrote this review to I for buyers that the silicon handles are useless.

Great quality, not too heavy, cleans well. Highly recommended.
Great little grill! Nice cast iron heats up well and grills nicely. I've already cooked burgers, hot dogs, brats, chicken and bacon and it all cooks well. Nothing like a grilled hot dog or burger on cast iron! As with any grill with the grill lines, cleaning in-between can be tough, but nothing major. It came seasoned but I've seasoned it a couple times since then. Holds the seasoning well. To clean after use, let it cool a bit then pour coarse salt onto it and scrub away any food with the salt. Then add a few drops of oil while still warm and coat it, inside and out. Should last a lifetime. The silicon finger guards don't dit snugly and fall off easily, but they're useful in a pinch to avoid burnt fingers.
