PowerTxt GSM Power Socket

Great bit of kit, I have issues with my WiFi dropping out, this is OK when at home, I just manually reboot the hub and this normally solves the issue but impossible when away from home, this is where this gsm power socket comes in, just send a txt to turn off then a few minutes later a txt to turn on, eureka :)

Does what it says on the tin. I have very low mobile signal at my house but still works. Only gripe is that if the device loses the signal (only done this twice in two months) it doesn’t auto re-acquire and the device must be power cycled to get it working again.

It's doing the job required so far. I have set it to notify me on power failure and power being restored plus minimum and maximum temperatures on a remote property. When power is restored, it sends 2 texts messages, 1 for power and 1 confirming temperatures are back within range. Shame it can't combine in a single text. It can notify a number of people if set up but, remember each individual text is charged. That doesn't cost much (depending upon your provider) but it can eat through the balance.

Great product does everything I was looking for the boat to alert me if the shore power goes off on the boat sends me a text message shore power on shore power off also has a nifty thermostat to tell me the temperature should the weather get too frosty.Have it set up to text my mobile but can also set up for other users too simple to use 5 stars here

This is a surprisingly feature rich device that encompasses a range of direct, scheduled and temperature related functions. Very impressed.

very excellent product. I have two now to control routers.

I am now working from home, but connecting in to our IT systems in the office. Previously, if the Broadband router needed to be rebooted (all too often), I had to go in to the office for a two-minute task. Now I can just send a text message to this device (which has the router plugged in to it) to turn its output off, wait a minute and send another text to switch it back on again.
